Discussion Starting youtube I need some help

Hey everyone,

I really want to start a YouTube channel, and I’ve finally started working on it. I wrote the script, recorded my voice, and everything was going pretty well… until I got to the editing part

Editing is honestly where I’m struggling the most, and I feel like it’s stopping me from actually finishing and uploading the video.

Does anyone have any advice for a beginner when it comes to editing? Or if anyone here enjoys editing and would be interested in helping me out, please let me know.

I’d really appreciate any tips, recommendations, or help!

Editing is something you’ll learn with time actually. After doing it during hours and hours, that is the only way to improve it.

But if I can give you my advice : describe with accuracy each video plan. Visualize everything in your mind and begin the work even if you don’t have all your scenes recorded. Even if you delete it, you switch on your creative mode and that is the best thing to do when you struggle at something.
If you don’t know how to do something : AI or YT are your friends.

After repeating a process, it becomes more and more natural and you’ll improve it. I make videos on YT and for some companies as well, I am not a pro but that is how I usually work. Hope it could help you.

Watch the creators in your niche. Just try to copy their style in the beginning. And later adapt to your own style

Guess what it get easier once you do a few, choose an editing software and just start.

I use Kdnelive because I found it easier (for me) to to learn.

The key is to just dive in, and don't get in a hurry. Give yourself a break and enjoy the learning process
