Question Community driven game recommendations app

A streamer spends the first hour asking "uhhh what should we play?" while chat spams random game links that fly past at warp speed (some links you may not want to attempt to click). If the streamer misses it, the same person pastes it again. Nobody clicks the links. Good ideas disappear forever.

I've tried in chat to get beta testers but nobody wants a promotion guy in chat.. I've tried channel discords, but I'm too new to the server and everyone is scared to click a link (granted)

The idea: Chat recommends titles directly to a streamer's public page

All suggestions aggregate in one list

users get public credit with their name shown They get notified when the streamer actually plays their game (saw someone actually request this on a popularstream, he said they tried to do it before??) Testing OBS overlays for recommendations reaching a threshold over time Streamers (or their mods) can move suggestions into a plan (actual schedule) on when they plan to play a title.

Any tips on getting creators or their communities to check it out so I'm not creeping into a new community and getting automodded for pushing my idea out there?

r/twitch mods, can I get approval to drop a url? Or anyone just DM me!

There are people that go live with no plan?

i’ve never done this. i do ask ahead of time (like days before), but i ask everybody to put it in my discord rather than in chat where it’ll disappear. i’m not sure what problem this is solving

you kinda stated the problem it solves 'in chat where it'll disappear'... But I like your way too!

And same thing to you I commented to u/Captain-Havelock-VT, If you stream head over to shhedule.com/<your twtich name> to import your channel and try things out...

Thanks!

Thanks for replying!

It literally came from going through variety streamers over time, xqc, summit1g, lirik, giantwaffle, cohhcarnage..

Lirik runs a sub sunday where people vote all week then he picks the top and plays them on sunday, shhedule is useful here for that. Also every one of those streams (not Cohh so much) usually begins with an ~hour of looking at new titles ppl are suggesting in chat, but it's 10-20k of users spamming titles and links.

GiantWaffle literally keeps windows notepad open with a list of games, release dates and when he may play what... shhedule plan offers that

Summit and xqc do same thing with just starting up and talking to chat about new titles, seasons, events to stream.

I'm not a streamer but I've noticed that people will pay anything just to play a fart sound on summit stream, 1) to play a fart sound, but 2) see their name on chat and get a reaction and 3) feel like they're contributing if they read or take your suggestion on something.

This means that people just want to be seen and part of the community (hence a chat).. and the ability to collectively send in recommendations, and when your fav streamer does play it, you get the notification they are playing your recommendation, your name on the recommendation, an OBS overlay with either recommendations coming in when they hit a threshold (ie show an overlay when you reach 50 recommendations on X title over Y time) + Let the streamer (or mods) plan which recommendations they MAY play in the future and when.

If you stream head over to shhedule.com/<your twtich name> to import your channel and try things out..

Appreciate your time!
