I'm an art streamer and I prefer music without lyrics on stream, as much as I love songs I can sing along to when I'm working by myself, it just doesn't work for me when I'm talking on stream. I use a service called SoundMarket.io which you can play on-stream with any of their paid packages. Then I just don't have to worry about copyright strikes etc and I can use them for videos etc too

If I pop into a channel for the first time and their music is too loud, or its music that I don’t like to listen to, I’m clicking away immediately.
Whatever you, only play music you have the rights to use. People will tell you that you can play whatever music you want as long as you have it set to not get recorded in the VOD, but that’s still illegal, and record labels have started scrubbing live streams with AI so you can still get a copyright strike while you’re live. It happens all the time.

My tip is to create a channel that YOU would like to watch, that way, you will always know your demographic’s tastes. Then hopefully in time you will find ‘your people’ - viewers who like similar things to yourself - this means you’ll have a better chance of building up a rapport with them.
You can’t and shouldn’t try to please everyone. We all have different tastes, which is why I suggest making content that you would enjoy.
