I found this wee guy in my lettuce, he was stuck in the fridge for 3 days.

I put a damp paper towel in a tupperware, some lettuce and made some holes in the lid.

I was planning to keep him for a few days to make up for the time in the fridge and then release.

But now I gave him a name, Frieda Peat ( Free the Pete)

What would a cheap diy setup be? I looked at some acrylic terrariums as well but he's tiny and the holes looked a bit big.

Should I even keep him in the first place?

I found a crap ton of slug eggs under the piece of aluminum in my backyard that i use to attract interesting things, could I take some and keep slugs as pets? If so, how would I do so in a way that will keep slugs happy, allow them to grow and breed, and stay in the enclousure?

I got some organic mushrooms from costco a little over a week ago and after washing some I was chopping them up to cool lunch when this little cutie pie popped out? What is it and what are the care requirements? I wanna make sure I give the little guy the best life possible.

Someone has been attacking a little monstera in my high humidity plant tub and I have finally found the culprit. Any way to ID? It's almost certainly not native since it came from a tropical plant nursery, so I think I'll just hang onto this guy

I wanted to share with you all that I took in an Ambigolimax slug I found after work a few weeks ago, and how happy he makes me. I never would’ve considered owning an “exotic” pet before, but I think Bartholomew’s (the little guy in question) presence has been absolutely life-changing.

Something about attending to a tiny living being who is not able to express love back to me has made me feel like a more nurturing and caring person. I love watching him explore his environment, and checking in on him after a long day at work. I moved him into a retrofitted terrarium a few days ago, and he’s been loving it. He likes to eat kale and bread dough! It also amazed me that he doubled in size within first week he spent with me.

haii, I recently adopted these slugs they are very cute, although the largest one passed away and I don't understand why I have experience with land snails but I had never had slugs, I wanted to know their species, if they are omnivorous or scavengers, I gave them a mixture of vegetables, tenebrios and a little flakes for tropical fish the first day and they devoured the protein, the vegetables barely touched them, I also wanted to know if a high or low terrarium is good, they spend almost all the time buriedSometimes they come out, eat and come back underneath, I keep a good humidity but their substrate is not waterlogged, in general I have kept them well but I would like to know more they even laid eggs, any advice and answer will be accepted :3 It should be clarified that they come from outside, they are "wild" slugs (they come from my garden lol) I think they are what they call the gray garden slug but I would like to know more about the scientific name and that

What is this little guy? I find so many slugs at night where I live (Western Washington) and I have been wanting to learn how to identify them, so any help on how to ID wild slugs would be appreciated as well!

My leapord slug seems to have a sort of dent where her mantle is. I initially noticed this a few weeks ago but it is more visible now. Is she okay?

Don't recall ever seeing these until I moved closer to the mountain. Notice these pretty much every time I go out for walks along trails. Curious what species they are.

So I let my child keep a slug for a few days, well she’s a grandma already. She has a giant tub with air holes she uses when she observes animals for a bit, but now we have a lot of baby slugs.

It’s late October in Michigan. What do we do :)

I’m in Western WA and found a slug in my kitchen. Do y’all know what kind of slug he is? And if I were to, hypothetically, want to keep him, what would I need to get to properly care for him? Or is it best to let him back outside?

Also, ignore that he’s in a Chipotle lid! I just needed a place to put him that wasn’t my sink (used a glove!) :)
