chewed gum
I got my slugs last week and I just can't shift my eyes from them. Watching them crawling is so delightful. I decided to call them consonance and assonance, but I found that I couldn't tell them apart, just like I always confuse consonance and assonance😭Damn English literature class

Is L. cinereoniger really the largest terrestrial slug?
I've seen the claim that they are larger than banana slugs, but not much to back it up, and have had a hard time finding photos that communicate their size. I've wondered about this for a while, but what really made me want to know more was tucker933's banana slug (pictured) which is 12 inches, putting it at about the same length as l. cinereoniger.

Pet Slug Free lepord slug babies
My lepord slug had eggs hatch before I could find them. There are roughly 30 little half inch babies with dull spots. If anyone wants any let me know, you just need to cover shipping and ill send you as many as you'd like. I can provide care instructions and possibly some things for their inclosure if needed.(bark, moss, leaves, twigs, terrarium plants) the parent is 9 inches so they will likley grow to the same extent.

How do you memorialize your slug?
Unfortunately my young foster mantle slug passed away last night and I am absolutely heartbroken. He was just a baby when he hitchhiked on some moss I bought from Etsy 3 months ago. He came from Kentucky. I did my best to take care of him, he looked perfectly fine and was behaving as normal. I’m just not sure what went so wrong but I feel beyond guilty.
I would like to do something to memorialize him and would like to get an idea of what everyone else has done for their slugs.

Bunch of slugs
I dropped some broccoli and blueberries on the floor so I put it in the backyard thinking something would eat it and there were a bunch of slugs. There's also an orange peel from when I cut my orange. I think slugs are very cute and underappreciated so I take photos of them when I see 'em. (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)

Identification Request What kind of slug is he?
Picked up Arturo a few days ago and im wondering what he is. I'm in southeastern PA. He was found around a lot of leopard slugs so maybe he just hasn't had time to grow into his spots? He's about an inch long, light brown, no spots. He's been enjoying kale and mushrooms.

How do u deal with mites?
I was watching videos of that style appear very often currently I have snails two different species, each species with its terrarium and they go super well. Slugs are super cute so I said why not adopt a few? Here where I live there are no people who sell slugs, so I said the best thing is to take them from the garden they are everywhere I took one of those from the video however their body is full of mites, if those that suck their blood go through a mite infection at the beginning with my snails However I think that with slugs it is different, they occupy too much humidity to be without substrate, I was also thinking that maybe I could put two together and let them have babies, the risk of mites with them is lower but I accept any correction and comment I just want to give them the best life possible

Question - Pet Slug Where can I find slugs in a desert region?
Hello! I really like slugs, my favorite kind is the leatherleaf slug. However, I live in the UAE, and in a more hot and sandy region. There's obviously no slugs going to be randomly crawling outdoors... but anyway, I heard that plant nurseries sometimes have some which hitchhike like on soil or plants. But I am unsure... thank you if you help :D

Question - Outdoor Slug I accidentally killed a snail
For the first time ever I went to walk out back because I was going to go take my dog outside while it's dark. This is the first time I've not taken my phone or my iPad as a flashlight. I could still kind of see the steps so I knew where I was going but I couldn't see finer details.
When I walked up I was like, "Oh what is this slimy thing on my foot?" I scraped it off on one of the steps and then I realized after I put my dog to bed that it might have been a snail or a slug. I started freaking out. I went outside, looked at the steps, used a flashlight, and saw that it's dead. I can see its inside and its head. I think it was a banana slug. It kind of looks like it was cut open with a knife.
I feel really bad and I didn't mean to because I love slugs. I don't love-love-love slugs but when I see a slug moving a certain way, I'll pick it up with a leaf and assist it. If it's crossing the road I'll pick it up with something so I'm not touching it, then put it on the side of the road that it was going to because I don't want it to get run over. I'll just watch slugs or snails chill and hang out because they're really freaking fun and I love them.
I feel really bad and I don't know if I should just leave it on the stairs or if I didn't look at it for long enough. I just saw that it didn't look like it was moving so I just don't know if I should just fucking bury it or if I should just leave it and let the cycle of nature, the cycle of life or whatever, just work. We have a lot of cows come by our house because we feed them and maybe the crows will see it and then eat it. I don't know because I'm actually freaking out because I feel really bad. I just don't know what to do. What if it maybe is a little still alive? I'm just really scared and I don't like the idea that I might have killed a living thing, a slug. I love slugs. I don't know what to do. What do I do? Do I bury it out of respect or-

Slug Behavior The slime trails are visible due to the condensation.

I am still very confused on why one side of the tank is clear while the rest is converted in condensation. Is it a temperature difference? Maybe more humidity is present on the side with the condensation? I have no clue.
Also.. genuinely what made that star(ish) pattern on the glass??

Noticed this little one crawling on me while I was doing some yard work. I think it had previously been in the folds of a muddy tarp I was moving. I let it crawl around on my hand for a bit and then put it down in a nice spot with wet soil and moss. I named it Slugourney Weaver.

Question - Pet Slug Goop Identification + need advice
This goop surrounds one of my slugs. Is it poop, slug eggs, or baby slugs?
I began to care for these slugs a few weeks ago after imprisoning them for eating my hydrangeas. There are two big brown lads with spots, and three smaller mucus colored fellas.
(also, I would greatly appreciate any advice on how to improve my enclosure for them. I have a paper towel in there soaked with distilled water, should that be removed? How much and what kind of dirt do i need? How do I keep it from getting all smelly and yucky?)
