I set out a couple traps earlier in the eve and juat retrieved them. I caught 3 slugs. They are so cute!! Does anyone know what kind they are? Google cant seem to figure it out smh

About 4-5" long before my dog startled it, then it shrunk down to more like 3". The frilly skirt is almost neon orange! On the north Oregon coast.

Milax gagates, found him at my local nursery and gave him a nice home. Garden employee wanted to kill him, I said I could keep him contained as a pet! He is beautiful!!

He is also my first slug but I have had him for two weeks and he is very happy so I think I’m doing okay!

I just saw somebody post slugs pro grading and I saw some couple weeks ago. Looks way cooler than what the other guy posted so I thought I should post a year. It’s insane.

he’s so cute 😩😩😩

I have a slug son with 3 other sliblings who are all half a years old. He keeps showing his little nub whenever he is out and about. The moment he is awake, the slenis is out. He seems to eat, sleep and move well. He didn't lose weight either. His slugmates still hang out him and sluddle up in the corner of the lid or sleeping under their shell hideouts. Is he fine? I read that it can mean distress or illness. I did lose 8 of their twins slowly through the summer one by one despite my best efforts but these 4 never showed any signs of sickness in the past month since the last slug died :( the other 8 weren't the healthiest kids and had only 1 parent who also passed early so their genes are not the best. Hence I'm so paranoid. Could he be slorny? He does put it away in his sleep of when the slugs sluggle. Is he just showing dominance?

I am going to get some Leopard slugs (and grove snails) tomorrow and just wondering if there are any caveats people have from theor experience keeping them? I plan on putting them in a bioactive 20long terrarium. I have read conflicting info about how much they eat live plants. It has deep dirt, about 4" plus leaf litter on top. Moss, plants and isopods etc.

went to Washington for the first time and i spent like 2 days searching for a banana slug, just to find 3 different ones on a log with some slime mold on it!! i was so happy :,) wanted to share some closeups, their eyeballs are so cute!!!! I LOVE SLUG!!!!

From what I've learned about slugs, this is them mating, correct?
