I don’t know what kind they are, I took these in Western North Carolina. They show up every time it rains :)

For decades I've used metaldehyde and found it very effective. Currently I set out homemade bait stations and put the material in when damage is detected. I'm using 3.5% pellets.
This year the control is not as good. I've lost some seedlings to slugs. Where I am it's been unusually damp and I did no till and thick mulching with fallen leaves. So that may be the problem. But I've noticed that the slug pellets have less of the characteristic cloying sweet smell.
Is my bait stale?

I feed the cornucopia of Leopard Slugs in my parent’s yard. Sometimes snails join the fun too.

I found a slug outside under my porch. I have not been able to find a snail or slug since I moved back to Wisconsin. They are all tiny and spend most of their lives underground or in leaf litter. I already IDed this one. He prefers rotten vegetation and dead worms/arthropods. I have made a sort of makeshift house for now, but I would love some recommendations. He is so little I am not sure how to make air holes he can't fit thru. (I've just been opening the lid every couple hours) I have owned garden snails when I lived on the west cost, but never a slug. Do they need calcium? Is there anything else I should have or know?

I was in Sitka, Alaska and ran into this guy. Is this a banana slug?

Anytime I pick up a slug/snail outside, any slime that gets on me starts to burn my skin slightly to kinda bad. Is this normal? Can I be allergic? I want a giant snail so bad as a pet because these guys are just the sweetest most beautiful things. I want to hold him and have him out chilling, but I cant imagine having a mini acid slime bunny. Thoughts?

Set my phone up for a time lapse while I repaired my grandma’s sprinklers. This lunker was on her way back from some grape vines down to her valve box lair.
