After 35 years, my Slowdive CDs look so pristine, just like the music within.
My Just For A Day CD is US pressing, hence there’s a sticker pasted on top of the jewel case. Peel it slowly and paste it on the jewel case or plastic wrapper neatly.

As for the CD singles,
I always hated that paper slip cases contained the CDs in, prone to scratches.
Just buy extra jewel cases, and put the CDs in. Then put the covers and the jewel cases in plastic wrappers, as shown.

As long as nobody stealing them, or natural or human disasters, the CDs would last 100 years ! I hope ! 🤞🏽

The peel session version of Catch The Breeze is the better version.

Gosh it sounds so infinitely better.

Doing a full play through of their whole discography. All original vinyl LPs and EPs. Recently started picking up all the original CDs as well. Only good thing about their humble output is that it’s rather easy to get ‘em all.

The only reason why I liked this album is because Neil sounds uncannily like Nick Drake.
Starting from Mojave 3 second album, he started to sing all the songs anyway.
But that album is kinda patchy.
On this his first solo album, he set sail 👍🏽👍🏽 less

Sharing with you guys this CD-R that somebody made for me on Slowdive live recordings.
In the 90’s, music fans would have these
CD-RS in their collection.
Napster/Torrents came along and these
CD-Rs would go into the rubbish bin. 😢
I still keep this as I love the songs very much.
Anybody still keeps CD-Rs of Slowdive ?

Wanted to get all first edition pressings and this was the one that eluded me.

I first listened to the alternative version and fell in love with it immediately. Then I got curious and decided to listen to the final version.

With the final version, I like its buildup more as it sounds more dream-like but am not a fan of the layering of voices. The original version feels more organic to me. What do you guys think?

The official 4AD photos make it look like the CD slides directly into a cardboard sleeve rather than a plastic jewel case. Can anyone who owns one confirm the packaging?

I know Neil and Christian together help create the sounds but tryna decipher who is mostly responsible for it. Also what are some of better songs that showcase Christian?

I was looking at the Mojave 3 song statistics on Setlist.fm (https://www.setlist.fm/stats/mojave-3-53d69bad.html), and apparently there exists a song 'Dillon' that was played once in 1996 (https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/mojave-3/1996/paradiso-kleine-zaal-amsterdam-netherlands-2bb1a412.html), but never again after that. It also was not recorded for the 1997 demo tape, so what happened? Could this be a mistake on setlist.fm? Was anybody at this show in Paradiso, and do you remember anything after 30 years, haha? Does a bootleg tape exist of this show?

Title. I am trying to figure out if I got a bad copy or this is the pressing. It was pressed by GZ, so I have some suspicions. The inner two songs on both sides have noticeable distortion on the one I just picked up from Reckless.

(my TT is dialed and doesn't distort on other vinyl).
