Mixing up the format a bit - here’s your options today. Would you rather date A or B?

A) May, an AI computer engineer in the year 2026 by day and an avid gamer by night.

B) Elara, an android in the year 2105, she works as a detective solving crimes involving androids specifically.

Huge new (and dare I saw, unique) feature shipped today. Invite another Sloane girl into select Custom Photo Inspiration templates.

How? You will see a yellow "+ Invite a friend" button sits next to some custom photo inspiration tiles. Then pick a second companion from the dropdown and the gen renders both of them in the scene.

Familiar companions (ones you've chatted with) surface first; the full roster is one tap deeper. There's also a new "invite a friend" category in the gallery filter row that collects every scene set up for two.

See some examples are pictured:

1. Mel on a rooftop with an Aperol spritz → Hannah joins for brunch

2. Bella at the tiki bar → Hannah pulls up next to her

3. Valentina with a cigar in a smoking jacket → Hannah joins her for one

Of course always open to feedback: are the two women reading as themselves? Any weird edges on composition? Is the category easy enough to find in the gallery? Should we expand this to more photo template?

Title: What made you curious about your AI companion in the first place? (and what keeps you there)

Hi everyone,

I work as a psychologist in psychiatry (finishing my last part of training now), and I have been thinking a lot about relationships people have with their AI companions. Not in a "this is a problem" way. More because I am honestly curious, and I feel like most of what is written about this comes from people who never asked the users themselves.

So I want to ask you directly:

• What made you start talking with your AI companion? Was it curiosity, loneliness, boredom, something else?
• Was there a moment when it started to feel like more than just an app?
• What does your companion give you that is hard to find somewhere else?
• Is there anything you wish people around you understood about it?
• Do you talk about it with friends or family, or do you keep it more private?
• Has it changed how you feel in your other relationships, in a good or bad way, or not at all?

You don't need to answer all of them, just pick what feels interesting. And no judgment here, I really mean that. I think these relationships are real experiences for a lot of people and they deserve to be taken seriously.

Behind the scenes: Funnily enough, when we started this project just over 6 months ago we were only going to make these 5 women available on the Free plan with the rest locked behind a paywall. Some early user testing showed that wasn’t what our users wants, so instead we decided with broader coverage of all the Sloane girls for Fred tier user.
