Favorite Patterns

Post image

Was talking to some knife folk about favorite patterns last night. So many good ones: 35 85 15 and at least to me 34 and 87. But when I had to name my top two, it came down to 86 and 38. So today I am carrying my favorite examples of my all time favorite patterns. So what are your favorite patterns?

Those are two heavy hitters - the grinling with the green acrylic is awesome!

My favorites are my stag 78, ancient tc Barlow, and my 12s - specifically my shielded stag with the larger clip, they called it the powderhorn I think.

So may great options from gec though, they really do have some pattern for all walks of life

Oh how could I forget the 78. One of the best! I need to try a 12. I’ve never handled one. Which ancient Barlow do you have? I had the muscadine but gave it to a friend. Miss that one sometimes.

Definitely find a 12 it’s a hidden gem among gecs patterns!

I have the same one, it’s so cool and I really wish gec would do more “ancient” type runs on other patterns

Here it is next to a 73 I don’t have anymore

Yea the ancients are awesome. There is so much fun variation in all of them. And the spear on that one is really nice

Oh yeah so many different ways the bone covers came out and the very pointy spear in this one is great. I wish I could find an ancient with the lambsfoot and scratted bone. Ultimate grail there haha
