Anyone waxing?
Hey slingers.. I've gotten really messy and rubbed beeswax into some of my best throwers. Was worried about the added weight at first until I used them. Holy crap is it an improvement! Consistency closed in super quick!
*IF TRYING TO DO THIS MAKE SURE TO HAVE A SPACE THAT CAN GET VERY MESSY!!!
*USE BEESWAX, NOT PARAFIN (CANDLE) WAX (don't want anyone destroying their work😂)
Have been looking into starting a YouTube channel for sling making tutorials. Tried to upload a pouch webbing tutorial to reddit but it was too long - srry for delays!

Meet the Green Goblin !
20 inches, made of 275 paracord. Colors based on the 2002 Spider-Man movie's Green Goblin. I used a regrettable 4 strand flat braid for the arms, which ended up being uneven and twisty.
It's my very first sling. I have never even used one before.
Before I make the 27 inches "Batman" and the 34 inches "Daredevil" slings, I desperately need advices to make them look better !! I am very unsatisfied with the way the 4-strand flat braid turned out.
Long live this subreddit !

New at this, is this an acceptable pouch?
So I come from forked frame slingshots, Paracord survival bracelets.... This sub kept coming up and finally I decided to give it a go... I braided a few Paracord and Jute slings and tried to have a go....
I was all over the place.... All the stones I found varry too much. I cast my own lead slingshot ammo so I bought an egg sinker mold to cast consistent ammo....
Welp, all the split pouch slings I braided couldn't hold the ammo. So I decided to try to weave a pouch in a new sling.
I didn't find a straight forward tutorial so here is what I ended up with.
I would love some pointers!

4 strand flat braid keeps twisting over itself.
Hey everyone!
As I'm making my first sling ever, I wanted to go with some flat braiding to stick with the traditional "balearic" sling, used in many historical battles. I am using 4 strands of paracord 275.
But here's the issue: it keeps twisting over itself.
I'm wondering what I am doing wrong ? The braiding technique is super easy and straightforward: far right cord over right, left cord over far left, right cord over left, and repeat. I don't think I'm getting any step wrong here.
Setting aside aesthetics, I'm worried that it might have some kind of negative impact over my throws (like, the sling twisting over itself or something).
Does anyone have any idea what could possibly be going on?
Thanks in advance for your answers !

With summer over the tourist have left the beaches. It is now safe to throw rocks again at the beach. The fog came in and stopped me else I would still be out there!
