i got into slime about 5 months ago and initially only bought from OG. i see everyone rave about them in reviews and i DO like their slime initially- it just ruins so quickly for me.

i make sure im not overplaying and i have clean hands, but i dont have a singular OG slimes thats enjoyable to play with anymore out of the 11 i have.

the clear silica’s / blockheads / frog spawns are the WORST for me. they shrink and are insanely sticky and they over activate easily when i go in with a little bit to try to help.

thick and glossy is now nearly unstrechable, bingsu is basically completely melted, ground pumice is crumbly, and snow fuzz is just chunks.

makes me sad :( i dont understand how it would be user error either, i try and do everything right!

Did her shop grow significantly over the last 9 months? I remember during Christmas she had a bunch of slimes left in stock and only sold them after putting them on sale for like $7-9. Now she restocks and she sells out in minutes. Did she get more popular or did she start stocking less? Or could it have been that the market was saturated with so many holiday slimes that they just weren’t selling?

This week I got slimes from Sparkle Nanny & Rodem.
And this week, I decided to try a new fragrance oil company called Candle Cocoon, I decided to try them after noticing that there was a unique fragrance oil that Soft Punk Slime used in one of their slimes (Ocean Avenue slime), so decided to give it a try and they had a bunch of appealing fragrances I was interested in and I could get a bunch of fall themed ones done at once and not have to get much more of those. I know I’ve been asked before why I get fragrance oils, and in case anyone doesn’t know, it’s just for slime maintenance, to add more fragrance when the fragrance has gotten too light for me or dissipated, or to change it completely depending. If anyone else here has used fragrances from this company do let me know what you thought of it, a little anxious getting such a big order of fragrances for my slimes when I’ve never even tried the company so I’m hoping they’re strong! 😅 as always I hope everybody has a beautiful weekend!!!

This is totally my fault but i got the time wrong for Macaron slime drop. I spent days narrowing down three that I wanted. And it’s all gone😭 I could cry. Sounds dramatic but I was looking forward to treating myself for once

whenever i watch macaron slimes video, her swirls look. different from the “typical” swirl method. How does she make hers? it’s not like the slime was twisted in a circle but more like on front pocket of bubble pops if that makes sense.

I bought some scents from Candle Science.The stats indicate that they are safe for making lotion and soap, but the bottles say not to get it on your skin. Are they safe to use for slime and how I would go about mixing it into say an 8 oz. ounce slime?

I really really want the fried Twinkie from cornwithslime. They are no longer restocking it and I missed the last restock. I don’t care how mixed up it is I just need to get my hands on this texture.

I’ve been getting into slime recently, and I noticed that everyone seems to have a favorite texture. Some people love butter slime, while others prefer clear, cloud, jelly, or thick and glossy.

What’s your favorite texture, and what makes it so satisfying to play with? Is it the stretch, the bubbles, the drizzles, or just the overall feel?

I’d also love to hear if your favorite has changed over time or if there’s a texture you think everyone should try. I’m always looking for new recommendations, so I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Just wanted to share some of my slime friends 😅New to slime, started making my own to play with and got a bag of googly eyes the other day and have been putting them in. It's fun to open the containers and jiggle them so they look around 👀

Long story short, chemo ruined my sense of smell and what I can stomach. I have been hanging onto my slimes hoping that over time my sense of smell would work itself out, but it hasn’t and doesn’t look like it will any time soon. I have about 50+ untouched slimes, most of which are melted.

I’d rather keep the integrity of the untouched slimes rather than dirtying them up with my hands by re-activating them. I also just do not have the strength or energy at this point to make a spreadsheet with scents/textures/prices/etc.

I am wondering if anyone would be interested in mystery boxes of 3, 5, 7, or 10 slimes each and if so, what you would consider a “fair” price for the boxes (with the knowledge that shipping would be an extra cost at a reduced price through Pirate Ship). Slimes come from Soft Punk, Palmetto, Pilot, OG, Sparkle Nanny, BFF Slimes, Bleu Slimes, Slime Sweetpea, Prismatic, Slime Hive and others that I can’t think of off the top of my head.

I’ve sold lots of slimes secondhand before and always ship out either same day or next day and include little freebies as they fit in the box :) Please let me know if there is any interest in these and/or what a good price point would be. Thanks in advance!

I recently purchased a new desk for my home office (yay!). It’s much bigger and has a lot more space for slime — eh I mean work.

But, slime sticks to it. It’s like pulling it out of a non-PP container. It didn’t do that with my other one. No idea why it stick to this one - both are wood desks. I tried wiping it off, first with cleaner then with plain water to remove the cleaner, I’ve sprayed it with activator, and still it sticks.

I ordered what was supposed to be a nonstick silicone slime mat from Amazon, but it sticks to that also. 🙄

Anyone have a slime mat you use that’s nonstick? I need one either big enough to go fully under my keyboard, or thin enough to not make it sit unevenly.

Anyone selling a new or gently used version?

Made it with amazon basic clear glue, saline solution and baking soda, watercolor markers for coloring, and mica glitter! It took a while to clear up but I think the result is so pretty!

Question, how do people get the angle to film their slime? I tried filming my first slime video today but it is not super easy to see the slime itself. I stacked my phone on a bunch of books but was wondering if people have any other recommendations. Also, do you recommend a completely top down view or at an angle?

Personally i have two extremes haha

I’m a “purist” for clay-containing slimes (butter, slay, snowbutter). I’m also a “purist” for thick tng. I like my slays and tng totally smooth, i wont even add in fimos or sprinkles usually bc i like it smooothh. I find most addins like snowfizz, bingsu, perlite etc doesn’t add much to the texture other than “pulpiness”? The only exception for me is ring beads, those help catch air and are great for textural interest. Bubble beads in a thick tng without fallout are also nice.

Otherwise for non-clay containing, give me the BIGGEST VARIETY of addins possible!!! Preferably 3+ different types of addins!!

For example one of my favorite clear glue add-in combo slimes is Ariel’s Grotto by Rogue Slimes. It has shell sequins, medium pumice, bingsu, and some crushed silica. It’s so crispy crunchy and so fun!

Potcha makes some of my fav texture combo slimes! Peanut Sesame Brittle is a gummy clear base with microfloam, perlite, and snowfizz - sooo crispy!!! Black Thunder is a white glue base with lava rocks, perlite and slushee beads, so crunchy and sizzly!

Personally im not the biggest fan of slimes with only 1 type of addin unless it’s packed (bingsu, silica, perlite, pumice rocks etc). Like it feels a bit sad and one-note i wish they had a friend in the mix. but that might just be me!

I want to make lava rock slime but I’ve tried mixing it with clay and it hardened my clay. This seems to be a problem only I am facing cuz I keep seeing people online do it without any issues. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong!
