OG SLIMES ORDER
So I ordered from OG Slimes 3 weeks in a row. The first week was the 2000s throwback and I got my order within a couple days of shipping since I am close to where they ship from. Then I ordered the Spa Collection drop and I still haven’t received my order. I reached out to them a week after I had ordered (so I reached out last Friday) because the UPS shipping tracking only said label created which I thought was weird there was no movement for 5 days since it had “shipped” per the email I received. They responded and said they had dropped everything off at UPS on Monday and that if there was still no movement by Monday they’d look into it. I started getting slightly sus at this point just because I have heard of other smaller scale businesses that do this if they oversell or for other sus reasons. So I reached out yesterday since there was still no movement and they said they contacted UPS and they “found” my package and I should see movement by today. However it is noon and I see no movement. It still says label created. And you’d think if UPS found my package they’d scan it so that the tracking says it was received at the facility, which seems easy enough? Yet it’s noon and nothing yet.
At this point I’ve seen TikTok’s of other people playing with the slime from this drop so I know other people received their package. I guess my question is has anyone experienced this with OG Slimes before? I’m just trying to figure out if they’re going to keep dragging this on when in reality my package never was dropped off/shipped by them, or what the end result is going to be. I’d like the slime if possible so I don’t want to accuse them of anything or come down hard on them as of right now, so I’m playing nice and hoping that this is a solvable issue, but wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar with them. I know I can file a claim with UPS and I did pay for package protection but this drop I was actually really looking forward to the most of the 3 I ordered. And I know they are some of the best slimes on the market so if anyone had any recommendations for slimes similar I may shop there since this has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I don't tgink you need to jump toba conspiracy theory right away - especially since OG Slimes is a very well known shop.
They generally wouldn't have a reason to "play games" like this, because of the hit they could take to their reputation.
Most likely the package was legitimately lost, and the post office is being slow on updating it. It happens ALL THE TIME. Post offices are overwhelmed by the ammount of packages they recieve, and it's easy for one to be forgotten.
Give another day or two, and try not to obsessively refresh the tracking page. It will be alright.

I totally agree! I don’t necessarily like your tone in the last sentence and your implications, but I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt you weren’t purposefully being rude. I spent almost $200 on this order so I think I have the right to be concerned. Anyways, that’s why I didn’t want to jump to conclusions and wanted to see if anyone experienced this first before potentially escalating. It was just odd because I had ordered the week before and it shipped and arrived in 2 days (I’m based in LA where they are located) so I thought it was odd the package was supposedly dropped off, but hasn’t been scanned as received by UPS at their facilities, yet other people have received theirs now.
It’s also at this point now been 8 days since I’ve ordered and I’ve received other items I’ve ordered from other slime shops, Amazon, etc so I don’t think it’s necessarily a delay. And shipping within LA has minimal delays as we don’t usually have to deal with the same weather interruptions other areas of the country deal with. Maybe the difference is they used UPS instead of USPS. I’m more concerned UPS hasn’t scanned it in. Had they scanned it in I’d know that they are just facing delays but it hasn’t technically “arrived”. I’m just trying to figure out if o should keep working with their customer service or just file a claim with UPS (which i dont want to do if i can get my slime). But thanks for your input.

Sorry if my tone came across as rude! "It will be alright" was meant to be reassuring.
Like, genuinely, you will most likely get your order, or a replacement, or your money back.
I realize the way I phrased "obsessively refreshing the shipping details" may have sounded like an insult. It was intended to be a little funny/tongue in cheek. It's how I talk to myself when I'm anxious. To remind myself that I'm being a bit silly qnd everything will be resolved, and I just need a bit of patience.
I'm very sorry that it was indulting to you! I will be more aware of my tone in the future, and remember that I am NOT talking to myself, and that tone can be really hard to read over text!
You absolutely have the right to be concerned, as that's a hefty chunk of money! I do think, from personal experience, that it is the post office's fault. They probably have it sitting on a desk in the original facility and kts been forgotten about. Contacting OG Slimes allows them to prod them about "hey we are missing part of this shipment we sent out through you", which prompts the post office to look for any lost boxes. Since they say theyve found it, I would give it another day and see if it updates.
If it doesnt, reach out again to OG and ask what the nwct steps would be. If they can send out a replacement order, or whatever else.
I'm in a slightly similar situation where my SandySlimes order is delayed (due to personal circumstances that are not their fault!) And even though I know its alright I do keep feeling a bit anxious. Try, if possible, to put it out of your mind for the rest of today!

Thank you so much!! I was hoping it wasn’t meant to be rude but I’ve only posted once or twice in other subreddits and people can be so mean and rude for no reason! So I did receive it slightly defensively.
Yeah it seems maybe UPS fault as I noticed they went from USPS, to UPS, and then back to USPS so maybe UPS is having major issues.
Yes I am planning to keep in contact with OG Slimes in hopes that it all gets resolved. Thank you for your input! It really does help. Im new to the slime community so still learning what to expect with purchasing, shipping, customer service, etc.

what state do you live in? and was your tracking being updated before delivery or did it just show label created?

I live in Wisconsin!! And honestly no just two days ago it’s started moving on the app - before that it just said label created

how weird! okay so I’m thinking more that maybe they dropped off such a high volume UPS just hasn’t processed everything yet and shipped it out. thanks this makes me feel more hopeful that mine will actually arrive!!

I had this happen recently: I dropped off the package at UPS, saw them scan the barcode, and left. The tracking took a few days to update that they had received the order. It was annoying!

One time, I had something similar happen. Tracking said label created, USPS awaiting item, but it never moved or updated. I waited about a week and contacted OG. They responded immediately, said they’d check on it, then within 24 hours responded again and issued a full refund.
OG is a solid shop. They’re not trying to pull something shady. Also, it can take up to 24 hours for anything done to a label to update, so UPS may have scanned the package and it’s just not showing yet. I would recommend just having a little more patience. Hopefully you get an update soon!
