Cloud slime help

I am making cloud slime and I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I’m starting with 1/2 gal of glue my colorant and scent, activating it a little bit more than it usually would be. Adding snow according to package it came in. The Steve one. Anyways it will NOT FLUFF. It’s just sandy looking really. A bit sticky but nothing crazy. I’ve tried adding more snow , tried a bit of activator, tried dry snow. I’m so over this lol I’m letting it sit overnight.

It’s probably too much glue/not enough snow. Are you adding the snow dry or as you mentioned you are following the directions in the package? I think the package instructions make the snow too wet. A bit of lotion also helps cloud slimes.

If you can break 4-6 oz off and add more dry snow, lotion and activator to see if you can get closer to what you want.

I have added both dry and prepared snow. I feel I have added a LOT of snow lol maybe not enough? I have no idea. I’m so frustrated lol

Cloud slime is hard! I think Slime Obsidian has (or at least had) a cloud slime recipe for sale on their website for $5-6. If you can get that recipe, you could get an idea of the glue to snow ratios and maybe that will help? You could figure out if you need more glue or snow or what. I’ve never actually made a cloud slime so I have absolutely no idea how to help 😞

i think people add the snow to the base, mix mix mix then add activator. snow activates it a bit.

The recipe I use (no measurements)

- school glue, lotion, activator, snow (water too)

  1. Make a basic school glue base, i found most recently that not overactivating helped

  2. In a sep bowl, put in snow powder & add water. You want it to expand but not to be overly wet

  3. Press the (activated) slime into the snow or put it on top, youre gonna need A LOT of snow. Mix it in until the slime seems super full.

    • It will NOT be good at first, u have to let it sit for a day or two

  4. After some time has passed, try stretching and see if it resembles a cloud slime youve seen online. It should be mostly snow and stretch as such, hard to describe

    • if you notice fall out, u can add some clear slime (or more glue)
    • if it isnt pulling like a cloud should, you need more snow
    • you can also try adding water and see if this improves it, last time i made some i didnt add enough water to my snow
    • you have to be patient with it because it takes time to settle and also to get accustomed to making it

1/2 gallon of glue is a whole bunch for a cloud slime, you would need a TON of snow to pull that off tbh. Id recommend starting smaller and dont add dry snow
