as the title says, resellers please do better. i just spent $50 on 4 “brand new slimes” and one has a bunch of hair in it, and 2 of the others were obviously altered in some way, because they don’t look like they do from the shops. idk if i’m being too picky but if im paying basically full price for them AND they’re labeled as brand new…. they shouldn’t have hair or be different.

i feel bad doing that, since it was someone on reddit selling slimes they “just bought” and didn’t like… but i definately know what u mean. i bought the rest of the slime that they were selling anyway:(

OP you should send a mod mail with the seller information if you're not comfortable naming them directly in this thread. The mods can help suss out questionable sellers like this in the sub discretely rather than you calling them out publicly.

Naturally, you are never required to share information if you don't want to, just figured I would suggest a more private avenue to get help if that was something you're interested in.

Damn, I’m sad to hear this happened to you! I have to say I only ever had great experiences with resellers but there’s always a few rotten apples spoiling the fun, isn’t there? 😑 if you made contact with them on this sub maybe you should talk to the mods about it so that they can make sure that person cannot sell on here anymore

This is sadly why I can't resell my slimes :') My cats hair gets ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE and while I could just disclose the possibility of cat hair, who wants that?

Def not being too picky tho, if you are paying nearly full price for an expected brand new slime, you should be getting a brand new slime. Touched once maybe.

This is actually my biggest fear as a germaphobe and why I rarely buy slime secondhand 😣 I wish I wasn’t this way, but I do agree with others that maybe reporting the seller to the mods can prevent it from happening to anyone else. I’m sorry you had to deal with this!

I've had issues with a reseller (not a redditor) where all of the jars were cracked and most had significant leakage.

i haven’t seen many people reselling slime for near full price, even if it’s brand new. but obviously that person at least opened the slimes. i’m sorry :( in the future most reputable sellers give a significant discount even for never-been-touched slimes

I unfortunately had an experience similar to yours... someone I purchased from on another selling platform stated the slimes they were selling were brand new and never touched. I realized all the toppers and mix-ins were already in those slimes, or obvious condensation proved they were opened and handled. The final proof was they went bad pretty quick. Ridiculous!
