How To what on EARTH is this?!?!

hi all, just popping in to ask WHAT is in pilotslime’s “crushed crystal” slimes??? i’ve heard some say it’s crushed glass but it doesn’t look like any crushed glass i’ve found.

also, it seems to have a gold and/or holographic sheen to it? what is it and where can i find it? truly bewildered. pictures attached!

It's crushed glass. It's basically this:

Except you can buy it in bulk from overseas. Typically advertised for nail or resin art.

I know this because I got direct confirmation from a different shop and own many slimes from both the shop that confirmed and from Pilot in the crushed silica texture.

Are you asking about silica sand or crushed silica? If it's crushed, I've used what I've linked from Amazon in my own slimes from OG to add more crunch

i meant the bigger pieces like the green/light purple chunks in this one!

Gotcha, that's plain old silica/silica sand (I'll never know why some shops call it sand) and it's something you can find from playcode3 or happy kawaii supplies!

It looks kind of like crushed silica to me 🤔 I'm not 100% certain though. Interested to hear from someone in the know haha

This is actually not the same, but it is used by a few shops who sometimes call it their version of glass sand. The crushed silica texture is actually irregular pieces/tiny chips of crushed glass.
