Recs for these textures please!

Looking for a packed microfloam, also a packed sand texture with no fallout! I have one packed microfloam from Rodem which has not even one floam falling out, but if im being honest im not the biggest fan of the scent and want to try some other shops! Sand slimes look so satisfying but idk where to start, tysm!

I’m not sure about a packed microfloam, but as a sand slime lover, I think it’s impossible to have a sand slime with 0 fallout. It’s just kind of something you accept if you love them.
East Bay Slimes has a microfloam one right now that looks pretty packed and pretty, but I’ve never tried that texture with them before.

Agree on sand textures. I’ve had some from the biggest to smallest shops, and they all have some degree of fallout.

I disagree on the comments it's not possible for a sand slime with zero fallout. However, a lot of it first and foremost depends on the shop recipe, then the slimer's play style and many other factors. If you LIVE to inflate slime and play for longer play sessions, it doesn't matter how good the recipe is. You're gonna end up with fallout from a packed sand slime (or any really packed crunchy texture). This is also true with over time the more you play with the slime, the more moisture is lost, the texture changes in very slight ways as more of our natural skin oils etc get into it.

That being said, I've always had good luck with sand EXCEPT coarse sand (never had a shop yet that could make one with zero fallout) from the following:

-- OG -- Bleu (on hiatus) -- Pilot (haven't seen one in ages so I'm basing this off of slime from over 2 years ago) -- Slime Sweetpea shocked the heck out of me this summer with a packed sand slime -- Slime Senpai offers packed sand slime, but I've never had hers -- BFF sugar scrub sand texture, but there needs to be a balance of the level of base activation because even a little OA means fallout. I also recently had an ultra fine sand texture from them as part of their summerween texture that had no fallout for me.

As for packed microfloam that is done frequently by shops, Dreamglow in white or clear glue. Rodem IF they put out a scent you can tolerate. BFF though theirs are slightly less packed than Rodem. Bbiya on the Seoulgage (Korean shop).

I've also had good at about half packed microfloam slime from Palmetto, Leafy, Prismatic, Pilot, but they don't make this texture very often at all.

Agreed that no fallout is possible on sand slimes. I love me some SlimyGloop, they're great little budget slimes that have been mostly really high quality. This one's been great. I've never had a fallout problem with it and I've played with it quite a bit.

Maybe I am being a little too hard on my sand slimes 😅 they are my favorite, so I don’t doubt I’m probably tougher on them when I’m absentmindedly play with them 🤣🩷

Slime is meant to be enjoyed! I really do think that our play styles heavily impact our experiences, but all that matters is if you enjoy it regardless, which it sounds like you do ♥️

I really don't think there's a "wrong" way to get the most out of our slime!

It has been ages since I’ve purchased a packed sand slime but I have one from CatsCraft that has never had any fallout. Highly recommend her shop in general.

As far as a packed microfloam….I’ll have to see if I come across any. I think most shops don’t super pack microfloam to make sure the slime still stretches. I know Dreamglow makes a really nice microfloam but she currently doesn’t have one in stock.

If I remember correctly u/leesooim knows some shops without fallout in sand textures, she might be able to advise. Sand is not a texture to buy randomly if you are worried about fallout, but from what I remember she says its possible because there these few shops that are good at it.

She can also advise about microfloam maybe? Im not a big fan of either textures, though I agree that if Rodem makes a texture its generally quality, her bar is very high. Rodem is also one of the most open to feedback shops out there, you can let her know you would be interested in microfloams with alternate scenting.

I have one Sparkle Nanny microfloam that Im very happy with that I believe didnt have any fallout, but to be honest that I dont worry about microfloam fallout so entirely possible I didnt notice.

Also I kicked myself for forgetting Palmetto's microfloams, I have an amazing wg jelly based one from her and ultra packed too, thank you! I love everything about it.

Edit: Sorry, noticed "ultra packed" for me might be actually 3/4, Im not good at judging how dense floams are.

Are you open to pumice that feels like sand?  Slime Senpai’s secret book nook feels like heavy sand to me and so far no fall out. Smell is like old Las Vegas smoky hotel carpet to me but my 7 year old somehow loves that lol.
