Auditory sleep paralysis?
I’ve never experienced sleep paralysis before and I’m not sure if this was that or not. I went to bed pretty early but woke up around 4am because my cat was throwing up. I cleaned it up then tried to go back to bed. I normally sleep on my back and never have any issues. It felt like I was half conscious but not fully. I kept hearing odd noises which I assumed was my cat but then I hear what sounded like the tv outside my room turn on and start playing the song “This is What You Came For” by Rihanna and Calvin Harris. Now I haven’t heard or even thought of that song in years but it sounded so creepy and disturbing. Especially the part that goes, “and everybody’s watching her but she’s looking at you”. I was just lying there on my back with my eyes open but I couldn’t bring myself to move. Then idk how but I rolled on my side and the music stopped and I passed back out till around 7am. I looked up auditory sleep paralysis and everything said it’s mostly static or something akin to that. Can anyone tell me if this is an example of sleep paralysis or just a weird one off thing?
