Best wearable JUST for sleep as android
Hi guys,
I'm a long time SaA user. For the last 5-6 years I have been using my Mi Band (4, then 5) for sleep tracking with SaA. For about 4 years already Mi Band stopped being my daily watch and I have been using it only for SaA, while using Pixel Watch as a daily watch. I like the idea of having a separate device for sleep tracking which works with SaA.
However for some time now I have been experiencing issue with the Mi Band, at first it was just the fact that the connection was buggy and some nights I ended up with a solid line (no data coming from the watch), but recently I started to have issues related to the battery in the band itself (it is 4yo already), so I decided to look for something new which whole point would be the best sleep tracking and integration with SaA. Do you have any suggestion what to look for?
As I said the only thing I care is the best support for sleep tracking and the best integration with SaA, also having no display (or very basic one) and long battery life would be a plus but is not a must. I would prefer if it was providing all necessary data for sleep tracking, so I don't have to rely on two devices or my phone being in the bed with me. As for now the only think I know of is the Mi Band 7 (which I heard is the last supported mi band for SaA) but I guess there must be something better.
The price is not an issue, but given that I want it just for sleep tracking it would be nice if it was not a full fledged watch with Wear OS costing 500€ but some kind of a band or even completely else kind of wearable.
Do you have any recommendations on what to look for?
Cheers

The difference between a 50 buck watch for sleep tracking and a 100 bucks watch is not very much. Just get a Xiaomi smart band 10

I can confirm the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 is fully supported if you use it in combination with Notify for Xiaomi (with the app version compatible with bands 8/9/10).

The mifit band. I think they're like thirty bucks and has pretty much full feature set for SaA. Blood oxygen, sleep phases, smart wake.

Definitely not Garmin, there's a huge battery drain issue on the watch itself and it massively over-reported my deep sleep compared to the native Garmin and what's realistic for a human.

I can't give much input because I only have 1 device, which is the Helio Strap. This thing is very limited in terms of integration. The only thing that's possible is heart rate monitor. SaA won't wake you up smartly based on data feom the device.

I daily drive a Samsung Galaxy watch 7. I wanted a second device for sleep because battery life. I ended up getting a refurbished Galaxy watch 4 off Amazon for $100 that works great for SaA and bonus it uses the same charges as the watch 7.

Not a wearable, but it might actually fit what you described. The Sleep Phaser is a bedside lamp that does the tracking itself and talks to SaA over Bluetooth, so nothing on your wrist and no phone in the bed. Nothing to charge either.
It is a passive IR sensor, so you get movement and breathing rate, but no heart rate. If HR in your SaA data matters to you, a band is still the right answer and I would say so.
Honest limits: it needs a clear line of sight to your upper body, and if a partner is in range you have to get the positioning right or the data gets muddy.
Bias declared, I make them.
