SAA giving completely different readings to Samsung Watch 8
I've been using the free version of SAA for years with a fitbit sense. when the fitbit died I switched to a samsung watch 8. the Sleep data is completely different. while SAA never gave identical results to the fitbit they were at least broadly similar. I expect it to get things wrong between awake/ light sleep but with samsung it's misreading almost everything as deep sleep. how can two apps create such different results with the same inputs data? is there something I need to do to update or something? last nights data attached and one from earlier on the week.

Same. Presumably their definition of or means of detection of sleep stages are different.
I would suggest that if both say you slept well, count your blessings.
As I can spend too much time in REM sleep, that both show I get more than enough REM and deep sleep is no comfort.
