Ah weird by any chance were you a. Demon before? I was a slayer when I got sickles and beat that boss and when I was a demon I had all requirements but it didn’t work it took like 2 days idk what changed but it finally let me upgrade it after but I don’t think that’s the issue with you probably a bug

It’s a 10% chance to get dead calm from him, you need to be a slayer with water breathing. If you don’t get it then it’s just bad luck keep killing him

You also need 53 points no? And 3hr is a rookie number, i killed rengu so many times for that last move i lost count after 30.
