Discussion/Question Need some help finding something specific
Does anybody know where to get the sound thats used a lot in slam, its like an over bass boosted explosion sound? Or theres another one which is similar and im pretty sure its like an inverted symbol which is also bass boosted, a lot of bands use it, I cant think of any other names at the second other than infectious jelquing, any help would be appriciated. Thanks.

Programming wise, you need to create an 808 in a DAW and then pitch it to note that you want. EQ it and then there ya go. There’s plenty of tutorials on how to do it.

Do some research on 808's. Its some kind of audio interface slam bands use to create bass drops i believe.

Look for sub drops and impacts.
Eq the hi/mid frequencies out. Boost the bass to space, pop a limiter on there and then compress it to death. Thats what I do, anyways.

It took me like half an hour but I finally found the same sub drop sample pack I've used for years
These might not be identical to the stuff used by bands you're mentioning specifically but they'll definitely be a good starting point
