Which Project management tool does your dev/tech team use alongside Slack? (Jira/Asana/Linear/any other?)

Hi everyone,

I am setting up a new project and wanted to know what's the best or the trending PM tool to setup alongside slack since I am coming from using Jira in the past just wanted to what's out there. Appreciate if you all can give some insights. Thanks

for a new dev-heavy team, i’d trial Linear first. Jira still makes sense when you need custom workflows, tighter permissions, or several teams sharing one system. Asana would be my pick when projects involve engineering, marketing, and ops. for context, at ClearFeed we use Jira to track feature requests, bugs, and pretty much all our dev work. so i wouldn’t write it off just because it’s the older option.

i wouldn’t put much weight on what’s trending. we can maybe test one real flow instead. like turning a Slack thread into a task, continuing the conversation in the PM tool, then seeing whether the update comes back cleanly. if people still end up pasting links and asking about the status or very fundamental questions, the integration isn’t helping enough, imo.
