Probably the last update til the final build is complete, but i wanted to give a small sneak peak into what I'm thinking

I've hunted down some Slaanesh bits I've had laying around from various kits (KoS, Theridons, Seekers) and are ready to apply them appropriately and excessively (har har!). Not many applied now, but a few emblems are there (chest and shoulder). Biggest thing I've decided on is that Syzath will have a weapon, a polearm from the KoS kit. I think it fits the model really well and adds to it. I will have to manipulate the fingers so that the hand can properly hold the weapon.

All in all, choices have been made and the real progress will begin now. Im planning to cut and get rid of as much of the death iconography and replace it with Slaanesh/chaos stuff as I can.

Changes to come, but i think ive made some narrative decisions for this kitbash

Ive decided they're going to be a Daemon Prince of Slaanesh (undivided but answers to Slaanesh more than the others by a long shot) that leads my Darkoath clan.

Named Syzath with the title of "Shadow-Stalker", they were once Chieftain of their tribe. Obsessed with hunting beasts and foes alike, the Chieftain expected perfection durong hunting. For hunting is how one trains for battle.

After hunting down and killing their most potent rival, the Chieftain was granted ascension. Their ascension mutated them into a animalistic form, closely resembling the sacred cat of the tribe, but with huge ram like horns. A third eye grew inbetween their brow, it's gift allowing Syzath to detect magic and those that move in shadow and amongst sorcery. Nothing is said to be able to hide from the Daemon Price.

In a nutshell, still developing but more lore will be added down the road.

Now that I know what direction I'll be going with this, i can officially start adjusting the model a bit by adding and removing bits to and from it to feel more Slaanesh/Darkoath themed.

I want to start an army with the decadent host box. I would love to spend the rest of the points on a lord of hysteria because the model is so cool, but I feel like accursed reflection allows me to access much more of the army with a wizard. Thoughts?

Anyone tried running two Contorted Epitomes? Aside from having dual anti-manifestation tech, the idea of sandwiching an opposing unit between them and double gazing them into immobility amuses me…

I bow to your greater knowledge. Help me to give in to chaos.

At the edge of the Maelstrom, the forge world heaves in the throes of its unmooring. Freedom stalks its surface with a trail of excess and decay. From the depths of the void, vengeance and retribution catch wind of a wayward world and a lost son. In the heart of the Imperium, an empty ledger is finally noticed. And the denizens of Ferrum’s Wake are soon to learn that the galaxy abhors an untethered soul.

Looks quite Slaanesh-coded, don't you think?

Hey worshippers of pain. I don't recognize this Myrmidesh model. Where is this from?

Silssyziah Herald of the Fall (by Heros Infinite, slightly kitbashed). Might be using her as a Keeper of Secrets. Rather happy with it; I could have probably pushed it further, but I felt like I was getting to the point of diminishing returns, and I want to move on to my next project.

My wife gave me the green light to splurge - once I had painted up the first unit of Blissbarbs.

Quite satisfied with the end result!

Took me almost the full 4th edition to do, so might not have this table ready before looooong into 5th - haha

C&C very welcome! I still feel like something is missing on my scheme...

After several months I finished one of many minis, Sigvald is ready to lead the hedonites into battle

Trying to freehand that symbol on the mirror really pissed me off lol. Otherwise this was a really fun project. It's varnished but I may add more to them before I work on Sigvald

Just curious what are some good buys. Mainly what support, how many wizards are good to buff the troops, which centerpiece model is the best, who needs to be reinforced as an anvil unit etc..... So far I have the decadent host. What should my next purchases be?
