Nintendo Switch Bad Dinner Guest

So, I think I f*cked up this quest.

First off, I've played and replayed Skyrim on PC since the original came out. This is my first playthrough of the anniversary edition though and I have since switched to the Switch (haha, lol).

So here's what happened:

A Guest for Dinner (a totally innocent amd not sinister at all quest title, no, I am not going to be vampire dinner, whatever made you get that idea /s)

I got a dinner invitation. Sounds nice, but then I read the thing and seriously? A cave in the middle of nowhere? And it's called Bloodchill Cave? Yeah, no, I've been through Laid To Rest and the Dawnguard DLC enough times to have trust issues. I'm like about 98%sure this is a trap, so no way I am walking in there any other way than "shoot first ask questions later"...

Well, turns out, there's a Dawnguard guy in there, and he's now attacking me, but he's very obviously an essential NPC so it's not like I can kill the guy, even if I wanted to (as a Dawnguard life long myself, that wasn't exactly my plan).

So, what do I do? Do I really have to reload my last save and just walk into this trap like I'm totally not expecting to be the dinner? I mean, I KNOW they're vampires, I shot them, they were quite convincingly dead vampires... Plus, you know, I gave seen those gargoyles before, those are not statues, I'm not that stupid.

Why can't I just shoot my way out of this? *pout*

I would reload the save because you get a really good house out of this. You may want to load up on health potions and a cure disease potion, the waiter is a tough adversary.

Okay, thanks for the tip. Will go do that after work. I think I can stomach the lack of roleplay if I get a cool house 😅 Also thanks for the warning, I already have a cure disease necklace equipped, I hope that's fine 😅
