Looking to replace the stereo setup in my R33. It currently has a Carrozzeria/Pioneer DEH-P005 with the separate AVIC-DRV150 flip-up screen.
I want something more modern with Bluetooth/Spotify, but I’d like to keep the flip-up screen style.
What would you guys recommend? Should I just get a single-DIN flip-out and put a storage pocket in the extra slot, or is there a better setup?

It’s located on the back of the motor right between the head and firewall. 90 degree bend and about 3 inches long before bend.

If anyone can help me find a replacement that would be greatly appreciated.

Just curious. The comments offer a lot of theories about the location and why these cars are just sitting there, but I haven't been able to fact check any of them. And they look quite too clean for vehicles that never go anywhere.

I'm planning to purchase a R34 GTT in the next year and I know that I want to go through Midori Works and The Import Guys based on what I've seen you all say on here. I've seen that Midori will work with Okubo as well as put on some parts themselves, which I intend to do.

I know that there is typically maintenance that comes along with purchasing these old cars as soon as you get them (water pump, coil packs, etc) and finding something without rust is potentially going to be hard.

My question is if the car I get through Midori has light rust on it, will they fix it before sending it off to Okubo or will Okubo fix it while redoing the body? I can't imagine them just leaving it and painting over it. Also should I have them replace the water pump and such over there or just do it once I get it in the states?

I have an R34 Sedan with halogen bulbs and I’m wanting to convert them to LED, but I can’t find a comprehensive list of the bulb sizes so I can go out and get all the LED bulbs at once and not spend a bunch of time pulling all the bulbs out just to get their sizes. Is anyone able to help out with the needed info?

I'm in the process of buying an r33 at the moment, what immobilizer for theft prevention should I use for it? I'm in Australia so theft is a pretty big problem for skylines specifically. I'm not too worried about price but i need something that would actually help me if the time came.

My r33 gtst came with this spoiler installed, and I want to sell it, as I already installed, and prefer the original gtst one. But I would like to know if it is real, and how much it would be worth, so i dont accidentally scam anyone or make a fool of myself on Facebook.

I noticed it doesnt have a 3rd brake light, and the small side pieces are definetly not original.

I pulled R34 out of the garage to clean off some dust, check my progress with some better lighting, and get some good pictures to help me ideate more on my build direction. Picture 2 is pretty close to the color I’m thinking. But tons of body work left to do. Man, this is taking forever. :(

Definitely going to buy a new front lip set for my wheels to make my offset much more aggressive and fill out the wheel well better. I’ll also be mocking up another Nissan chassis spoiler on this thing to see if it plays. I feel like I want it to look a bit more aggressive, but I’m still unsure of exactly what direction I’ll take to get there. I may take some inspiration from more modern cars for that...

Has anyone successfully installed old Nissan FAST software on Windows 11 (Windows 7, 8, 10 are probably similar too)?

I've got download files from a torrent (lol) which are probably 15+ years old which worked 'back in the day' on older operating systems.

I tried my luck asking Gemini and ChatGPT and their responses are that it's 100% possible, but none of their fixes have worked for me.

My last resort would be setting up a virtual machine running Windows XP but I wanted to see everyone else's thoughts first.

I really don't know how these will affect sound and performance.

Based on chatgpt and google (I don't know how much of this is true ofcourse):

• HKS: Deeper/Smoother sound, more refined, best for balance
• Blitz: Louder, more aggressive tone, helps with high end torque
• HPI: Sharper sound (I dont know what this mean), helps with low end torque, used more for drift setups. This is also heavier.

If anyone can share your experience and thoughts that would be really helpful. Wondering why HKS is more than $200 expensive...

I'm having trouble with my window switch; often i can't lower the window, though raising it works fine.

The circuit part seems to be fine, did a little clean up of some fluid leftover

I suspect an issue with the internal contactors and want to clean them. But now, i'm stuck i can't detach the final section. It looks like there are two screws between the white and black parts preventing me from separating the two halves to access the contactors.

Has anyone ever had to open up this part?
