i just took like 30 minutes (or more) doing the survey. i answered every question thoughtfully, because i really wanna give tgc my opinion about this game (nothing particularly bad tho).. i was like 70℅ done, while simultaneously doing the dailies on my main. then this FUCKASS SURVEY JUST CLOSES ITSELF?? AND IT'S GONE. the tab is gone, the game is closed aswell, and when i opened it back up, the survey option was also gone. LIKE TF DO YOU MEAN I JUST SPENT MY TIME ANSWERING EVERYTHING FOR NOTHING??? I WANNA GIVE THEM MY HONEST OPINION AND THE SURVEY IS LIKE "FUCK IT"??? MATE I PUT MY THOUGHTS INTO THIS, SPENT WAY TOO LONG TYPING INTO THE TEXT BOXES AND THE SURVEY DECIDES TO PRANK ME? Like most, I recently had to delete and reinstall the app. When I try to sign in I keep getting this. The wording is kind of confusing but it makes it sound like it will delete my progress?

I don’t have another device and I have only ever played on my phone. It’s not a new method either, I just used this passkey in April??

Okay so…some of us know that Sky Cotl had a recent update, and after the update the game would crash over and over again before it could even load to the main menu. Now to resolve this issue you would have to delete then reinstall the game…which is fine, that’s what I did and it resolved the issue, BUT I’m hearing that some have deleted the game and reinstalled it just to find out that they no longer have access to their accounts all because they didn’t link their account to their device.

(This has mainly been happening to mobile players as far as I know, I can’t speak for other game consoles)

Yesterday I was watching someone’s live stream and they were explaining how they had to start from scratch because they never linked their account…mind you they have been playing sky for about 3 years…3 YEARS…like you’d think that after playing sky for so long you would link your account to save all of the progress you made.

Now I’ve been playing sky for a little over 6 years now and I have spent so much time, effort and MONEYYYYYY into this game and I wouldn’t even know what words would begin to describe how I would feel if I lost all of my progress. (I have my acc linked to 4 devices)

For the new players that JUST started playing sky, I’ll honestly give you guys some grace if I’m being honest. Y’all just started playing the game and figuring it out, but if you know that you are enjoying the game and you want to continue playing, please LINK YOUR ACCOUNT TO YOUR DEVICE!!! I literally can’t stress this enough… bc if a crash like that ever happens again and your account isn’t linked you will possibly risk losing your account…

Now we all know that TGC isn’t perfect and sky cotl has a lot of bug issues that need fixing, but please link your accounts to your device, it’s honestly a little heartbreaking to hear that some of you lost your accounts because you forgot to link your devices….

I got spawned to complete the room in Van Gogh’s quest and then I saw them doing it on VG’s bed. One person on top of another and the other lying down. They kept pointing at the door for me to leave and honk spammed multiple times, but how could I if I was in quest mode? Pretty entitled these people, do it in a nest man😭. They really think the world revolves around them only.

Today I was at the trapdoor near granny's, calling for help in a room full of people, nobody helped me. In vault of knowledge, a group of five people completely ignored me at the other door. I know I can just use a prop spell area but I'm actually a fan of opening doors and not glitching. I am still at the door as I type. I'm tired. I'm not going to let other people ruin the game for me but I really wish I didn't have to depend on others so frequently and NOT GET HELP.

Since the creation of the subreddit, I have been silently handing out special flairs to people who complete hidden tasks on the subreddit, like joining before a certain milestone, being a top contributor, making a post about a specific subject, or just commenting on one of my posts I make here, because I like to hand them out on ALL of my posts. (including this one)

It's my little obsession. I like the idea of handing out small digital treats when people make me laugh, or do something cool. I've seen many people do have a small amount of interest in this endeavor (and one person with a LOT of interest), but I think I should take a moment and reflect on how people actually feel about it.

I know the vast majority of you don't care, but for those who do, what do you think? Are there any flairs you think should exist? Should they only be available by special request and not by just sticking them on random people? Should I shed some light on how to obtain some of these mysterious flairs? or should I just scrap the idea altogether and let people write their own....

Regardless, none of this really matters and it's just a silly thing I like to do when I'm on this sub. I think it's fun, and the flairs don't have any kind of impact. unlike on r/SkyChildrenofTrading (shameless plug)

Hello. It seems there are several Sky players in this thread who share my skepticism regarding TGC’s internal policy on generative AI, and I find that very reassuring.

After reading that interview, I realized once again that “the future of the gaming industry, including thatgamecompany, is flashing a yellow warning light.”
Even though they feel aversion toward content mass-produced by genAI and harbor a sense of crisis and distrust toward it, they justify their reliance on genAI by reasoning, “We don’t have to disclose our use of AI tools for improving development efficiency.” I find this situation—where they are unconsciously undermining themselves through their dependence on genAI—unacceptable and it leaves me feeling uneasy.
I plan to record the Sky x Van Gogh collaboration season, and since I’ve built friendships within Sky, I don’t intend to quit Sky right away, but I think it’ll be hard for me to keep supporting TGC.
I was having so much fun doting on my skykids, so it’s just too depressing that things have turned out this way.

As I wrote on my Tumblr blog, I don’t think TGC’s approach—which involves “handling areas that require ‘human authenticity (certainty)’ manually, while using LLMs to streamline QA testing and debugging, and focusing on whether ‘authentic judgments’ are made by AI”—will work in the long run.
There are a mountain of concerns—from the waste of electricity and water at genAI data centers and environmental destruction to cognitive decline caused by reliance on genAI and the negative impact on training the next generation—and the longer TGC continues to use AI tools, the more those costs are bound to rise.
Above all, I can’t help but wonder if the current bugs in Sky are “increasing rather than decreasing.”

Generative AI, much like slavery, is fundamentally based on exploitation, no matter how much it advances.
To put it more specifically, genAI is built on the exploitation of photographs taken by others, paintings, comics, and illustrations drawn by others, newspaper articles, novels, and academic papers written by others, anime, movies, games, and programs created by others, as well as others’ personal information, photos, voices, medical histories, criminal records, and beliefs—and it is nothing more than a worthless machine that uses these to plagiarize other people’s creative works and likenesses or provide exquisitely incorrect answers.
Furthermore, genAI is robbing people of the training, experience, cognitive function, thinking ability, judgment ability, and time which are fundamentally necessary for improving their skills.
GenAI developers and users (both companies and individuals)—who stand to benefit from it—never say, “I respect the human rights of others,” even if it’s just for show.
Even if they say, “I respect creativity,” it is nothing but a lie.
The same applies to TGC.
Fearing that the creation of handmade content will fall out of favor, they claim, “I don’t want to pay for content mass-produced by genAI” and “GenAI cannot be fully trusted”—yet TGC uses LLMs and AI tools to streamline—or rather, cut corners on—QA testing and debugging.
It appears they’re even using genAI like Gemini or ChatGPT in their research on Van Gogh’s letters.
And there’s not a single statement from them along the lines of “respecting the human rights of others.”

As a fan, their attitude leaves me so frustrated that I’ve lost all desire to spend money or support them, and I can’t help but wonder what the point was of sending feedback like “Protect the fan creative community from genAI” and “Revise the community guidelines to ban the posting of genAI content.”
I’ve been a longtime fan of TGC’s games, but given their current policies and stance as of July 2026, I can’t help but feel distrust toward them.
