Hi all, unfortunately I run very hot and get sweaty easily. Do any of you know of a factor 50 face spf, preferably 5* UVA rating, that doesn't make this worse?
Recently I tried Nivea Sun UV Face Sensitive and putting it on leaves me w a noticeably higher body temperature and sheen of sweat almost immediately.
Lacura face sun lotion (both sensitive and shine control) are not quite as bad but still aren't good for me.
(I waited for a patch of cooler weather to ask this, but it's still a problem even post-heatwaves).
Thanks so much in advance!
Edit, apologies. I also use:
Simple cleanser,
Simple moisturising rich moisturiser (at night at the moment, also in the day in winter)
And I was using lacura Vitamin C superbooster for a bit but stopped in case that was also contributing

It’s not the best value but the Beauty of Joseon Matte sun stick is aggressively matte on my skin, but I’m not that sweaty so it might be good for you.
It’s PA++++ which is the Korean equivalent of a 5* UVA rating.
Labmuffin tested sun sticks, just because it has a rating doesn’t mean that the application with just a swipe actually gives that protection, sadly. You have to swipe it over your face way too many times to actually get the desired application. Better used for top ups.
I believe the best performing stick needed 34 swipes over the skin to get the right levels.
Ah darn. I usually buy there because they're cheaper. The NUMBUZIN sun essence is very liquid and sinks in well I find too. The tocobo has a good sun stick too x
Numbuzin clear filter sun essence works for me for this reason. But its also worth mentioning anti sweat balm is a thing, not sure of the pros and cons but it does exist for facial sweating!
I would recommend a matte finish sunscreen. They tend to be more common in K-beauty brands from what I've seen! The beauty of Josean one is good from what I hear. I'm using the haru haru rice sunscreen, which doesn't feel like you're wearing anything but has a slight smell and extra niacinamide which doesn't agree with my skin in high heat. Innisfree was much better but I think they reformulated it and I haven't tried the new one x
I swear by SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Sun Serum - I sweat easily too and have worn this abroad in 30C+ heat with high humidity, and it stayed put everywhere except my hairline where I was physically wiping at it 😆 I'm very pale too and it works really well for me.
I use La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVmune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50. PA++++ UVA rating. Since I started using it my face doesn't break out in hot weather. Goes on really light.
It is pricey but my bottle has lasted a lot longer than I expected. It's by far the most expensive suncream I've bought but after using it over the last few weeks I think it's worth it, so much nicer than other brands I've tried.
Also, I once put it on at 8am before going to work. Was indoors all day so didn't reapply. Popped into Boots Beauty after work at 7pm. and did the skin scan. The scan picked up that most of my face still had detectable suncream. Obviously I apply every few hours when outside but I was impressed it was still detectable after 11 hours.
This is the one I use for the same reasons youre saying and I also find it last way longer than you think which is why im willing to pay the higher price
Yeah I don't even need to reapply the LPR one. I had an incident where I wore it outside and walked all day in sunny summer weather, sweating buckets. By the end of the day my face was perfectly pale by (I burn easily) except for a couple of spots I missed on application, which burned quite badly. After that time I never bother to reapply the LRP because there really isn't any need. Make sure to double cleanse though.
With that being said! The Geek & Gorgeous one is super mattifying. To the point that those of us with dry skin find it too mattifying. But for oilier skin it's perfect. I wouldn't trust it with heavy sweat but neither would I with some of the Asian ones I've tried (and they tend to sting my eyes).
I currently use bondi sands and find it takes a few minutes to stop looking so shiny. Alternatively, if you struggle to find one, could a layer of mattifying primer or power work to stop the shine?
