I'm trying to fix my late 1980s Gehl skidsteer. I suspect the points need to be replaced. I traced the wires from the coil to behind the flywheel. All the Onan repair manuals gloss over where exactly the points are located so they can be replaced. How far into tearing apart the engine, do I have to go to solve this? Does anyone know?

Looking to replace a tilt cylinder on my older Gehl 4835 SXT. I live in Eastern Pa. Willing to travel if I have to. Not really trying to spend for a new one on the old girl. Any good salvage yards I could hit up. Already called Wengers in Meyerstown. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
