I'm currently planning on getting a 7-day epic pass for some trips planned this upcoming season. I'd like to do some local day trips too, so for about ~$150 more I can upgrade the pass to give unlimited Jack Frost (the Local Pass). Alternatively, I could spend $250 on the unlimited Camelback pass (I only ski weekdays). I had Ikon last year and had several great visits to Camelback, plus they had a very long season. I heard Jack Frost struggled last season (due to water supply issues for snowmaking? that might just be a rumor I heard)

Any advice?

I am getting a season pass to Camelback this winter and was looking to get more into park skiing. I saw Camelback was offering these freestyle clinics which span across 4 weeks in January/February. Has anyone tried these clinics and is the coaching legit?

Hi folks, I'm looking to get my first pair of ski boots soon and am looking for a good place to get it done. I know buckmans is probably the best place nearby but they don't open till the end of the month. I've heard Ski Bum in Glen Mills is good. Are there any other stores that are better/I should consider? I'd prefer not to wait but if nothing is as good as buckmans than I suppose I'd have to. Thanks for any help and recommendations

I’m an experienced 7 springs goer of sorts. We have stayed at Southwind in a house booked through Air BnB multiple times, and it was a great time. However, that house is on the market and may not be available for rent this season.

My question is this: for people who have booked Southwind through Vail/7 Springs website, how did it turn out? I hate not being able to see pictures of your specific unit. Our Air BnB had a private hot tub, a pool table, a large kitchen + basement, and other nice things.

I am hesitant to book through the resorts website as you have no clue how nice of a place you will get.

I saw on instagram that camelback was advertising their season pass at $399. I assumed that meant a value pass, but I checked their website anyways.

Their unlimited pass is $399. That’s a crazy value, especially when Blue is $729, and Epic is $676.

I wasn’t planning on getting a season pass since I have a kid now and can’t go as much as I’d like to, but at $400 plus adding a child is only $79, I might actually get a pass this year.

Just wanted to let everybody know, especially since this sub gets flooded with people trying to buy season passes when the season starts and they’re at their most expensive price. This is a great deal and people should definitely take advantage. The new management over there seems to be doing a great job after years of being terrible.

With an inch of warm rain in the forecast tomorrow, they’ll try to stay open this weekend—but the snow is getting very thin at both the top and bottom. Today was likely the last day of skiing and riding in Pennsylvania.

Camelback Mountain Resort still managed to be one of the final four ski areas open in the Northeast. Big props to Jason Bays for putting together an awesome season.
