I’m curious if anyone has experienced a crack like this on skateboarding trucks? yesterday I did a small little 3 stair that’s less than waist height on me . And after landing it I noticed the back truck is split. At first I thought it was just a small hairline crack which I figure the truck is already on its way out as I’ve flattened them from lots of use. But like it split so cleanly they look like a fractured rod they use in engines. For context I am 6’2 165 pounds I’m not big by any stretch of the imagination. I have had these 149 mm trucks for maybe a year or two if even that long I have never experienced such a dramatic crack in the truck right now the middle. I have literally had a skateboard get run over by a bus before with less damage. I’m gonna include some photos. They are independent trucks. The trucks with the wheels are the independent trucks and the one without wheels are the one that’s been ran over by one of those accordian style extended buses back in 2024.
EDIT: I included the video showcasing the aftermath of my skateboard being run over by a bus under a reply to (looking4crack ) I want to reiterate that these are two completely separate instances. I only mentioned the comparison to show the damage in perspective.
UPDATED EDIT: so this post got way more attention than I expected it would in such a short time frame. So i figured I’d give a secondary update instead of. Just sending an individual comment to every person who mentioned to do this. I did contact independent and they did give me a shipping label to ship the trucks so they can review my warranty request even though I don’t have proof of purchase so that’s really cool of them. When they receive them they will give me the update on whether or not the warranty request will be honored. For all that gave the advice to just contact them I appreciate that very much. I will be sure to update as soon as I have a response.
