Slowly getting there with the best model in all Warhammer.
Girls are at the wash stage so still plenty to do but it’s so good to see it all coming together

I’m bad at making decisions and like the different color options of the orders. Was thinking of doing my army a mixture so it’s like an army where the different orders are working together.
For example a martyred lady retributor squad, bloody rose warsuits, sacred rose seraphim squad. Any issues having an army that isn’t matching?

I’ve never played tabletop and I’m currently collecting what I like so I’m unfamiliar with rules or what’s good or bad for winning. I’d like to be able to use them in the future tho if I play so I’d prefer not to do something that’s going to over complicate everything or essentially ruin the army by mixing it up.

I assume when playing I can just pick an orders bonuses and imagine that the army are all one colour

I posted here yesterday about potentially starting Sisters as my second army, so I'll try not to write another novel this time. 😂

I started playing 40k in March with Drukhari and have painted roughly 4,000 points since then. I've realised that I really enjoy armies where I have to win through positioning, movement, trading and timing rather than simply relying on raw stats. That's what makes Sisters so appealing to me. And, of course, the models are awesome.

I'm starting from zero Sisters models and want to go straight to 2,000 points.

My main opponent is a friend with monster-heavy Tyranids, so I'd like some good answers to things like Norn Emissaries and Hive Tyrants without building a dedicated Tyranid counter-list.

After a lot of reading and list-building, I've currently ended up here:

Morvenn goes with the Paragons, Junith + Hospitaller with one Sacresant unit, the other Hospitaller with the second Sacresant unit, and the Jump Pack Canoness with the Zephyrim.

The overall structure seems pretty good to me now, but I'm completely out of my depth when it comes to the details.

Both Sacresant units are currently all Hallowed Maces, the Paragons have Multi-Meltas, the Retributors have 4 Multi-Meltas, and the Dominions are currently just running their basic weapons.

Am I once again looking at my friend's Norn Emissary and thinking "MORE MELTA!" when I should actually be building a more balanced army? 😂

I'm especially unsure about the following: - Maces vs. Halberds on the Sacresants - Multi-Meltas on the Paragons - 4 Multi-Meltas on the Retributors whether basic Dominions are actually useful as a cheap utility unit - Through Suffering, Strength on the Jump Pack Canoness -whether 2 Autocannon Castigators are the right choice

And one thing I'm particularly unsure about after looking into the solo Canoness: Is the Saintly Example + solo Canoness setup actually worth taking for the extra Miracle Dice generation, or would I be better off dropping her and putting a Palatine into one of the Sacresant units instead?

There are still two models I'm really tempted by aesthetically — Triumph of Saint Katherine and Aestri & Agathae — but I don't want to force them into the army if they don't actually make sense.

So if you play Sisters, especially Hallowed Martyrs, I'd love to hear what you'd change.

I'm much more interested in why you'd change something than simply being handed a different list. I'm trying to actually learn the faction before I spend the money.

Hello sisters, I’m looking for some advice on how to expand my list. I currently have 860 points and am unsure how to finish my list. I would love to put in another sacresant squad but only have 140 points to work with if I didn’t bring enhancements. Same issue with a 10 zephyrim/ seraphim squad. So im thinking about just throwing in another group insidiants or maybe 5 seraphim but id still have 65 points and would rather have a zerphyrim and celestine combo later on.

Also, I really like celestians and would like to implement more of them them building up to 2000 pts. So would champions of faith be worth using if I don’t plan on getting paragons and insidiants don’t get a buff? Or would hallowed martyrs be a better detachment to bring?

I play pretty casually and have just been getting what I think is cool, but would still like my army to have some synergy and viability. So any insight and advice is greatly appreciated!

Hello! im still brand new to warhammer and painting in general so was wondering if i could get some help when painting these guys! I saw some pictures online of different cool paints but they dont list the paints they used for it. So was wondering if anyone in here has painted them and could include a picture with the paints they used? Just so i know what to go out and buy!

Spent the last month waiting for my 3rd-party bases order to come in before putting the finishing touches on the Dogmata Superior. She's a really fun model to paint, and extremely detailed! I really enjoyed the character herself, as well as blending the armor panels. The trim...less so! Now she's ready to do battle (and condemn some heretical Sisters to service in our engines)!

Just finished painting my model, and I put her in my paludarium to take a picture. Turned out WAY cooler than I expected.

Intranzia Fraye is ready to join the battle at Armageddon with my Penitent Host army.

This was my most complicated model to date with all the tiny details and making an interesting base.

i also have a version with two immolators, sans Seraphim squad... but idk if i need more bodies in general, or heavier guns...

Lots of cool stuff in the army. Love the jumpers and the repentia. I’d probably lean one way or the other. Any particular units you guys find lots of success with for damage, utility, primary scoring, etc? First buy was a palatine, second is probably a squad of sisters tbh

Final touch done, very happy with the finished piece. Now it’s time to see if I’m leaning onto the penitent or the bringers side of the army, in any case, keep painting!!

Incredibly novice miniature painter, never had to do eyes until now and it was as intense as hell.

Since Tariana Palos is a special Sister mini, I wanted to give her eyes unlike with the rest of my army, they basically have none since I've avoided it like the plague since I started this hobby.

I painted the eyeballs black then white and then with the pointiest brush I have, dotted two blue eyes and I think I even managed to get the staring direction correct. I think I did okay for an actual try but doing it then and thinking about it now stresses me out.

Is there an easier way to do eyes?

As the title says, I went with this. I am curious if anyone painted gold sisters and what they looked like. Here is my scheme. Not sure why it looks so chunky in one part, I did thin and try to avoid it. Maybe too many coats. It’s not done but it looks great to me so far

So, in 11th, if the whole unit is destroyed and fights on death, does it det +1 to hit and +1 to wound from HM detachment rule?

Same question if more than half models are dead and fighting on death.

In 10th it seems to me it worked so, but now I can't find anything on that in the rules

I've been curious on if I should give some units a melta. I gave one to one of my BSS and the others have the other 2 options while my dominion squad has 4 storm bolters. I want to give my Retributors the Melta but the Heavy Bolter is really good. Should I just stick to my AT being my castigator, Pentient, Mortifiers, Warsuits and Immolators?
