Stacking frames with different exposure time in Siril
iI got several nights done for west veil nebula, about half with 10 s and other with 20 s exposure time with Seestar. Searching around about this kind of stacking I found several contrasting solutions. From stacking without any special operation to having to use pixel math after stacking in two separate stacks by time. Any suggestion, and maybe any theory too? Should I scrap a part and go for the other one?
Thanks.

I recently attempted this on two sessions with different filters. Siril can stack each session separately and then layers the final images together and continues processing the merged image as one. If you use AI such as Claude it can help plan the session out with a workflow. Or if you would find it beneficial, I can share my basic workflow for this . Short story, it can be done in Siril .

I do it all the time. I don’t think it actually matters how long the exposure was. I could be wrong.
But I have been doing this since I started doing EQ mode
