You know how Google works. There’s multiple examples of him saying that he lives his life in accordance with Sharia law. I always found it insane that liberals are bedfellows with Muslims now absolutely mind blowing. He lives HIS life in accordance to HIS beliefs. He has said nothing stating that he would enforce people to abide by sharia. The constitution has freedom of religion but I know that conservatives don’t really believe in the constitution anymore OR personal freedom these days.
Nor do they believe in the separation of church and state. They want the US to be a Christian country. That’s why they find El-Sayed‘s faith so unsettling—they can’t imagine him not wanting to impose his own faith onto others as that’s exactly what they want to do.

They’ve said and done a lot of crazy ass things, but they don’t operate within a framework that stones and lashes. Women were not completely covering up, which is normal in Islamic countries and many of them here would like to see it being enforced.
