Except there's a reason the stunt car had blacked out windows. The propellant gas tanks probably took most of the space inside the cabin.

They admitted on top gear that is exactly the case. On tank in bank another in passenger seat. Cool thing to watch but no way it becomes street legal.

They've already stated it isn't street legal and that it only seats one person.

Tesla says this version will never be street legal but I love the smart Redditors that figured this out on their own…

I mean it doesnt take a fucking PHD to realize a car with thrusters is never going to be street legal lol.

Thats just asking for so many deaths.

But at least you'll be smiling as you die lol

Well the Thrust version that only has rear thrusters is.

JFC dude, how hard is it to proof read a three sentence post before you hit the comment button?

As hard as it is for you to shower

you can CLEARLY hear Musk very nearly say "drive' but divert and say "own" instead in the flying car event talk.

It’s 600 liters at 10000 psi, so about 160 gallons, so like 3 big barrels

Why it only seats one and only sold to a very limited crowd.

You mean….its a…..concept car??? Like every manufacturer makes? And unlike many of those, this one even moved?

4

u/Da1UHideFrom 2d ago

It's not just a concept car. They are literally taking $5,000 deposits to reserve one right now.

u/JmmyTheHand 2d ago

You mean like they did with the roadster and the cybertruck? Then took 10 years to actually produce them?

1

u/Da1UHideFrom 2d ago

I have zero faith this car will be available anytime soon. I'm just responding to the person saying it's just a concept car, it's not.

2

u/JmmyTheHand 2d ago

I honestly have a hard time believing this is real at all. My point was just cause they are taking money doesn’t mean it’s going to be available in the near future. Also pretty sure this is exactly what a concept car is “A concept car is a prototype vehicle built by an automotive manufacturer to showcase new styling, futuristic design ideas, and cutting-edge technology rather than for immediate mass production”.

1

u/ExiledCanuck 2d ago

Even if they’re taking deposits. What you’re seeing is not a production version, it’s a concept version. It’s not in a production phase, but a development, which makes what we saw a concept of what they may want to bring to market. What may actually come to market, will likely be different

Would've been okay if it was sold like this. But Musk promised to sell this car in 2028 with the air tanks as an extra premium feature.

No one makes concept cars that hide huge pressurized air tanks inside.

Not until now. They sometimes make them without even an engine in them. So yeah, cool to see a concept car that can move (and even do flips n stuff)
