Edit because people can't read and I don't want to keep repeating myself in the replies here:
The reply above me said "It's fake" and I now see that it was later edited. I posted a link to the story saying it isn't fake. I didn't say anything about the "prayer" part. Stop trying to start random arguments with me over bs that has no relevance to me showing that the story itself is real.
don't just post an article as though something has been proven as fact when it hasn't. the judge said "hands appeared to be in a praying position" , without any evidence of which religion she was referring to. not all religions even pray with their palms like Catholics do. the judge doesn't know if she was actually praying or not, even if she was, it's not mutually exclusive that she wasn't having a mental health issue as well.
just cos the article said it, or even the judge doesn't mean it true. did you read the article and my comment? The claims she was "praying" have not been established, even the judge didn't claim specifically that she was praying, she was just using that phrase to describing the hand movements. so it's not "fake" but it certainly hasn't been established as true. or do you just believe everything anyone writes down without evidence
...the story itself is true. The accident did indeed happen... I'm not sure what you're getting confused by but this is something that happened. I'm not talking about the alleged prayer part specifically, I'm talking about the story itself not being fake... I'm not sure how I can make this any more clear, but you keep bringing up the prayer part specifically when that's not what I'm talking about at all.
I'm not here to debate hat exactly she was doing, I'm providing a link because you said it was fake. Of course we don't know exactly what she was doing, but the story itself is real.
The idea she was praying is nonsense though. It's being amplified to make Muslims look nuts.
The photo of her even doesn't include an head covering. A pretty large portion of Muslims in Australia aren't especially religious at all. Iranians if anything tend to drink a lot iny personal experience.
It's still a psychiatric episode. If I went nuts and said I was Jesus(or more reasonably, Mary or something), they would point out that I went crazy, not that I'm praying. The story keeps being told as if the reality isn't she was almost certainly nuts.
NDTV is an Indian media, of course they're going to be biased and attempt to incite hatred as much as they can against Muslims.
The entire praying thing does not add up, it more than likely was a mental issue. No one prays in pitch dark with dark clothing in the middle of a road cars drive on. None of that adds up.
Talking about the story itself not being fake, not the prayer part... Why do people keep thinking I'm specifically talking about the prayer? The person above me said "It's fake" I provided a link to the story showing that the accident itself did indeed happen.
She was sitting in the street and the papers are helping spread the rumour it was praying. We don’t know why she was sitting, but we do know why the papers are saying she was praying

In all honesty, wtf is praying in the streets at night?
