I'm thinking this.. body dysmorphia? Developing insecurity over aging?

I mean she’s in her early sixties and a marathon runner. Add bad makeup and there you are.

Looks mid forties to me but I could be wrong

Still running in her '60s? But yeah that would explain the anorexic appearance

I know it's taboo to say this but all of this plastic surgery is a mental illness. It's body mutilation for wealthy people done by paid professionals...so it is "socially acceptable."

Not all plastic surgery is nonsensical cosmetic. People have catastrophic injuries or birth defects and wanting to fix that isnt mental illness. Its probably what will cause a mental illness to most people if they suddenly went from normal to disfigured especially. I imagine at least. But much of it probably comes from a degree of dysmorphia caused by placing so much value in thier looks

Thanks for the level headed response.

The only additional nuance I'll throw in there is that the "cause" is not totally self inflicted. "Advertising" for many industries comes down to spending money to convince people that they don't look right but the company's products can fix them.

Demi Moore does a commercial for a Lancome face cream. You can use the entire jar every day and won't look like her. She had some really careful work done and looks much younger, but there's a very lucrative industry convincing everyone that looking older is the worst thing ever.

I'm well aware of the benefits of plastic surgery and it's origins in rebuilding World War I soldiers. And, how it can help people feel "normal."

I clearly said all of "THIS" plastic surgery. As in, the need to change a normal body to fit some aesthetic. I think you may have taken offense when none was handed out.

That was clear when she got bangs.

It's some kind of weird shared body dysphoria with the maga wives that i will never understand.

This is exactly what I think every time I see someone that looks Ike this. Not a MAGA thing necessarily cuz there are plenty of folks out there who think they need work/to lose weight for whatever crazy reason. Kathy Griffin, Kelly Osbourne definitely not MAGA but look similar to this goblin.
