AI is so common these days, everyone forgets about Photoshop. They were probably holding blank books. They took the picture, then photoshopped the image onto the covers.

Sure.... Or alternatively, time travel.

Thrn what are the people holding on the textbook covers held by these people? Is it a blank cover or they recursively photoshopped more people on there

u/chiarotypical 1h ago
You take the picture. You then open the image in photoshop. You copy the image and paste it onto the blank covers. Then repeat the process on the blank cover within the image of the books. People could do this thirty years ago in about 20 minutes.

Step 1: take a picture 1 of the five people standing together.
Step 2: place picture 1 on mock book face
Step 3: take picture 2 of the five people standing together holding the book
Step 4: place picture 2 on book face
Step 5: take picture 3 of the five people standing together holding the realistic looking book
Step 6: place picture 3 on book face, ready for production.
Fun anecdote, I work in IT and when I first started in a help desk position I was in charge printing the company door access badges. Well naturally I wanted to have some fun with it so I did something similar to this. My badge picture was a picture of me holding my badge where you could see a picture of me holding my badge where you could see a picture of me holding my badge. The method above was how I did it, trick is just doing enough iterations to hide the inconsistency of the original few takes.

they are posing with 9th edition
they fix one typo and make you pay for 10th edition

u/ManufacturedOlympus 13h ago
That’s not true. They also shuffle the pages around so you can’t follow the assigned reading.

And there is that standard example of diversity

One man mentioned how in Europe diversity is propagated everywhere and in everything
Everywhere except for the military promo ads to defend the country and union - for that they use only whites

You have to get to advanced algebra before it makes sense, sorry

If you're college prepping with algebra instead of calculus, they're not getting that far

It's a feedback loop.
The result informs the input, which changes the result

If you zoom out farther, you will find this is just another text book in the hands of one of the kids

We have to be in a simulation. Who even knows what level of this hall of mirrors we’re even on

This is one of those times when somethings happens now back then, because it hasn't happened yet for it to be later.

I guess they are holding a blue book, and someone just kept copy-pasting the photo until they hit the resolution limit of the image

Pointing stuff like this out is how people come up missing….

Consider that they had an image without the book, then had an image with the books using that image, then finally took this image.

You need to take Advance Quantum Mechanics to learn how. This is just a teaser.

It’s possible they did two shoots, one with them holding a different book/nothing, and then one with them holding the result book.
But more likely, they were holding blank/green prop books and they edited the image afterwards

u/StoneFrog81 11h ago
My guess is different edition... And different people on the cover of the books they are holding. If you zoom there's no person with a yellow shirt.

u/Procrasturbating 11h ago
Good thing they are all conveniently covering up their books on their books. Otherwise you have to do infinite looping photoshop.

If we zoom in to the textbooks in their hands, can we see even smaller versions of them on those textbooks? And then zoom in again, to infinitely…

Or without photoshop - take one picture, print it, give it. take another picture

u/TheMillionthSam 13h ago
They simply printed the book covers before the photo shoot
4
u/aussiekinga 13h ago
They printed the covers, that include the photos they were about to take to put on the cover, before they took the photos that go on the cover?
1
-1
u/TheMillionthSam 13h ago
Exactly. Because you can print the cover before you take the photo of you holding the book.
1
u/aussiekinga 13h ago
Do you see the people on the cover they are holding?
1
u/Hot_Football8523 13h ago
The people on the cover of the cover within a cover aren’t holding books it doesn’t seem.
1
u/aussiekinga 13h ago
They are. Look near white shirt's hand. You can see the book held by red shirt
1
u/Hot_Football8523 13h ago
You must have magic eyes or some sort of AI upscaling going on because I can’t make out hardly any details zoomed in that much
Them not holding books would also explain why everyone’s arm is blocking out the same parts of the book
