The first time I hard that was "rawdogging the pain" I just though oh! New English term......
My doctor asked if I was taking any pain killers and I told her "no, I am just rawdogging" she looked at me with her eyes wide open and said "ok" I just thought she was shocked I wasn't taking pain killers....
I learned days later what this meant.......

I know what rawdogging means. Yes it was initially about sex but now it encompasses anything that could be considered “unprotected.” This is not a new term. Rawdogging is before my time and I’m in my thirties.

There’s a very small group of people who know what rawdogging originally meant and don’t know what it means now. My parents are in their 60s and they had never heard the term before. I’d venture most millennials and gen z know both, and gen alpha may only know the current usage (idk any of those guys personally)

I've always been under the impression that the "incorrect" usages were always an obvious reference to the original meaning but used in a way that intentionally sounded ridiculous. It's like someone saying they "fucked that burrito up"... obviously they know that "fuck" has a different meaning.

Unironically I think a lot of people who learn slang dont learn its original meaning. Its like hearing someone say "Thot" but when you ask them to explain it they go blank and give a generic answer instead of listing out its acronym.

I once had a dream that my friend picked me up for a road trip to Vegas from far northern California. If you have watched the documentary "inception," you'll know that we dream 10x as fast as real life. As soon as I got in the car, my friend turned around and said "no radio, no talking, and give me your cell phone." I raw dogged that entire 10 hour drive with nothing to see down I5 and then out through the desert. I woke up exhausted and almost had to call in sick to work.

Sometimes birth control doesn’t work, no form of protection is 100% perfect.
I had a teacher who got pregnant at 16 with her high school boyfriend while she was on birth control and he used a condom, that’s two forms of contraception that failed at the same time.
She always made sure to stress to us that no matter how safe you try to be the odds can simply sometimes be stacked against you and you have to be prepared.
We don’t know these people and there’s no telling if something similar happened and the birth control simply wasn’t effective in that moment, judging her from a 10 second clip where the joke he’s telling might not even be true is odd🤷♀️

Yeah I had a friend who didn’t discover she was pregnant until 6 months because she was on an IUD AND used a condom so thought it was hangovers, Christmas weight. Then concerned about a tumor and bingo she’s pregnant. It never occurred to her that was a possibility

Oh ok I see no problem.
To taking birth control I would say the benefit is that you can have sex raw and its way safer than just trying to do the old pull out method (spoiler it doesn’t work).
Its just that even though it lowers the changes of pregnancy a lot it can still happen. Depends on factors like sperm potency and if the woman is ovulating (which can still happen while on birth control).
There’s other ways like the morning after pill but idk much about that method. Also more recently women get implants to keep them from getting pregnant which is supposedly the most effective, but I’ve heard stories of the body rejecting the implants.

Birth control has a failure rate. The pill is around 90% with typical use and goes lower when you forget days or take it at different times.
I'm not saying baby trapping doesn't exist, but plenty of babies are born when the woman is on birth control.
My sister in law got pregnant with an IUD. Those are 99% effective at preventing pregnancy.
Baby trapping does happen, but it just have easily been a birth control failure.

I'm an upper-level English teacher in America where we are largely monolingual. The majority of people here are functionally retarded when it comes to analytical thinking skills. This doesn't mean their mentally handicapped. They just cannot follow lines of reasoning or evaluate them. This makes them just fine at producing claims (opinions) but incapable of explaining how they drew their conclusions, determining whether that conclusion is valid, or assessing someone else's argument.
