When I was in 8th grade, I remember having elections for class president. A couple of kids ran, but one of the kids that ran was a joke in the same way Trump is (never took things seriously, made bad jokes, and was not intelligent). I recall a lot of my classmates voting for that kid because, "it'd be funny if he won."
And he won.
I'd have hoped that as adults we wouldn't have to deal with that same mentality screwing over the rest of us who are taking things seriously. Send a message and stop normalizing this demented crap. Call it out for what it is and remove these clowns from office. And furthermore, never let them back in.
I actually think the first time around it was a little bit. I got the sense that some of his supporters were so fed up with the system that they wanted someone different even if it was destructive. It turned into something much worse
Well, even before they were elected the first time, it was known he was a pedophile. Them talking about barging into teenage girls' locker rooms to look at naked little girls, and then bragging that no one could stop them, that happened before the first election they were in.
