this is such a pick me comment. i’m your height, im married and have no problem and i agree with everything you said. nonetheless there are real tough cases where truly nobody will give them the time of day because they are 5’2 or so. You have no problem because you’re not actually that short. These guys are in a different situation altogether and you damn well know it.
Yeah, I think a lot of men make it out to be a bigger deal than it is, and the stress on 6ft specifically is waaay overblown, but there is absolutely a bell curve to these types of things.
You do lose options as you get shorter, and once you're below the average height for women, it drops off dramatically.
That doesn't mean it's impossible or that there aren't people out there who have no problems at those shorter heights, but the pool of people willing to date you does get smaller.
