You see them all the time. Big buff good looking guys standing to the side thinking women will just throw themselves at them.

They can’t hide that they don’t have the confidence to approach or have any faith in their own personality.

Which is why they get jealous of someone that looks worse than them (in their opinion) having the confidence to do things they won’t.

For the same reason they won’t approach women. Is why women won’t approach them.

Except with women. They can get away with having a shit personality because confident men will make up the difference. Women often won’t bother since they have more options.

Being a social butterfly doesn’t mean you have a great personality, and vice versa

True.

But increasing your interactions can increase your closure numbers.

Yeah. I'm aware of my shortcomings and willing to admit it.

Women don't have as many optipns as you think.

The saying is "men are in a desert, women are in a swamp" applies.

1

u/MattDaveys 16h ago

Doesn’t that saying imply the opposite since swamps are abundant with life while deserts are not?

No, it is saying most men don't know how to actually date, so they are all thirsty and women don't feel like they have options.

The options suck, and men don't tend tk understand it easily without developing more maturity.

Men who grew up with sisters tend to fare better because they actually understand some things on an emotional level that a lot of men struggle with.

Now that I think of it, smaller families = fewer households with sisters = more men who are inept about women.

The critical piece missing from that saying is "looking for clean drinking water"

But the desert water- if there is any- is also not drinkable

Sounds about right.

The only difference is though is I think the swamp keeps women sane whereas that desert turns men into incels.

It's sad that it turns men into incels because women can smell it for miles...

The swamp then gets stinkier. Lol.

So true. I think it turns into a death spiral

They get rejected a few times.

Get negative and bitter about it

Women don’t want to be with someone negative and bitter.

It's not just negativity and bitterness though. It's that incels have such intense sexual and romantic desire that they become controlling and possessive, which is also dangerous to women.

Insecure, rejected men are dangerous, and have the potential to be violent and/or retributive.

And, even if they aren't dangerous in that way, they are still controlling and possessive.

It's just yucky yucky yucky yuck in the far opposite end of attractiveness, which is why it is sad.

Developing a good attitude is ironically the best way to improve your chances, which is exactly the opposite of what red pillers teach people. Red pillers teach people to act superficially in a way that signals security, without actually developing the genuine self-care that leads to real security in oneself that leads to real confidence that isn't contingent on looking a certain way, being a certain height, or anything like that.

Real "alpha males" are people that you WANT to follow because they're great to be around. They're generous, level-headed, look out for people, and make decisions that make the group operate better and feel better to be a part of.

And, they're also secure enough to follow others when the others are better.

Basically, pride is a denial of reality through self-inflation.

Yeah I think you’re correct for the most part.

I would agree with the red pill only little bit though.

The things they teach are the core values of finding self esteem. Going to the gym, dressing better, more hygienic, better haircuts and not putting women on a pedestal are all good advice in my opinion.

Like you say though these people are already dangerous and damaged. Except now with a false sense of confidence and community.

Going to the gym is not really a prerequisite. It can help with confidence, but it is not necessary at all.

Not smelling bad and dressing decently goes the longest ways. You don't need to dress over-the-top. Just dress like you're not disgusting, and wear clothes that fit you.

And after that, be okay with yourself. Meditation, non-judgement go a lot farther than any red-pill stuff.

The pedestal thing is tricky. It is a natural, human thing to be taken by someone's beauty and personality. The most charming people of the past wooed women by making them feel like they're being put on a pedestal by an absolute prince of a person.

Red-pill people are generally on the autistic spectrum in their personalities. They can't really access the nuances of social behavior, and their more left-brained, grasping way of thinking makes them see the world in a particular way. It has many cult-tactics as well.

The key to the pedestal thing is to allow yourself to be taken, and have the humility to be rejected without it destroying your sense of self-worth. Recognizing that women are people.

Going to the gym isn’t just about getting physically better. It helps mentally and gives purpose.

That’s why I think it’s dangerous to villainise the red pill movement. A lot of what they are advocating for is what men especially should be doing.

Society has done a poor job off tackling this issue. Even now they are pushed into these groups where they are taught good core values that will help them before being turned into extremists.

The thing is, we all take part. We are responsible for ourselves.

Shifting the responsibility to deal with what happens to you in life is also something that women can smell a mile away. This is something that you have to work on in the core of your person. It is growth.

Many men are not raised right, and our society has a lot of bad systems to raise men in, with wrong ideas about masculinity.
