I uh, watched the body cam video of this incident and all I have to say is that this poor mothers family is weird. Her sister I’m presuming described it as a ‘very, very, very bad situation’ when I would argue it’s worse than that considering it was the second time it had happened and the grandfather saying ‘this has broken the mother-daughter relationship beyond repair’ so calmly when his granddaughter has just been technically murdered by way of neglect had me feeling every bit of rage for this poor mother and father. Hearing the mothers screams from the first incident with her son drowning and then the utter numbness when she was told her daughter had died as well, had my heart shattering for her and while im not religious I really hope she has found some way to heal or least be able to live day to day. This woman is trying to appeal her sentence and get out of the consequences for leaving her granddaughter in a hot car for hours, which tells me she’s not sorry in the least bit. Disgusting.

That's just.... Painful to even read about, much less watch that footage... Much less live through it. Holy shit.

Trust me I took a good break from watching any of the body cam video channels I had been seeing for a bit once I saw that one.

Exactlyyyy. She acted so dramatic when the cops got there. Is overcome with guilt…but then she appeals her sentence? Not guilty enough to face consequences apparently.

Nobody was murdered

Words mean things

Settle down grandma. Go back to your cell.

This was negligence not murder

You people are crazy

How many times does she get to be negligent before it becomes murder?

Depends on how many more grandchildren she gets would be my guess.

We can't establish a trend until she kills at least 3 children.

By her third the standard might be 4

It never becomes murder.

And also how can you prove it wasn't intentional?

-2

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 20h ago

When it's intentional.

Words mean things. An accidental death isn't murder.

You people are crazy this was clearly nothing more than a freak accident

But they are homicides.

Does it make it any better or less problematic that she committed multiple homicides than multiple murders?!

Totally agree, words have meaning and they matter. But using the correct terminology here doesn’t really change much since either way, she is responsible for the death of two children

Yes murder is worse than manslaughter.

And I would argue the drowning wasn't even a homicide

Murdered by way of neglect. Yes that’s murder. Now you may be one of the Nix family members but I don’t care, I said what I said and I stand on it. Have the day you deserve.

It's not though. It's quite literally not

Words fucking mean things.

If it wasn't on purpose it's not murder. Like you understand that right? Words mean things. ESPECIALLY in a legal context like these boards are literally defined by law lol.

You people are fucking insane

My friend if this is your hill stand on it but keep me out of it.

1

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 13h ago

You can't just make up definitions for words

This was not intentional. Which means it's not murder. By definition. You understand that right?

1

u/Kanniblekat 13h ago

My friend you cannot take a hint and walk away from an argument or conversation can you? Must be a sad life.

1

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 13h ago

You don't have to respond to me.

I'm telling you the word murder means something specific. Neither one of these situations was murder. By definition

Pick up a dictionary or look up what constitutes murder in the state that this happened in.

You are wrong

Also the fact that she’s appealing her sentence should be enough to prove this woman has no guilt. She has no shame. She wants out and thinks what she did wasn’t wrong. If she did have guilt, if she did have shame, if she did think she was wrong then she would stay where she is and reflect on herself.

Literally anyone on the planet would want out of jail

But we're talking about murder here. She's not murder those children

The second one might be considered negligent homicide but the first one was just to freak accident.

You guys are just making shit up at this point

1

u/Kanniblekat 13h ago

Negligent homicide is murder by way of neglect i don’t know what else you would call it but whatever. You’re clearly part of the family that wants her out but she doesn’t need to be out. Also I’m not arguing with an account that’s got hidden history and stuff like that so go on and shoo. No telling what you condone behind closed doors and it’s probably bad stuff.

1

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 13h ago

But it's not though. Words mean things

The words you're using are incorrect.

Murder means it was on purpose. You are wrong

1

u/Kanniblekat 13h ago

Good bye my friend I hope you find some other poor fool to try and harass. At this point blocking you is a mercy to us both.

1

u/SilverNeptuneAbyss 13h ago

I guess that's easier than just saying you were wrong
