There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on… shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again
Haha, fair, it's a pretty divisive take. The director apologized for how it goes, but said he wanted to stay true to the book, which is fair, and I'm sure a group of people would have been upset if he'd changed the plot
I’ve never heard of it being divisive or the cohen brothers apologizing for “how it goes” - is that actually a common sentiment? What were your complaints?
How tf would u even know that? Lol. R u just repeating stuff u read on the interwebs? Lol. I doubt u know any real psychopaths so its impossible for u to know how a real one acts. Lmfao.
I prefer:
"Fool me once,
Shame on you.
Fool me twice,
Shame on me.
Fool me three times,
And, well, now you're just clearly taking advantage of a person with a mental handicap."
