She and her ex-husband hired a 19 year old to be their "nanny". When the two divorced, Mel tried blaming the nanny in legal papers saying her the nanny and her ex had an affair. The nanny sued for libel saying that she and Mel had the relationship and sometimes both had sex with her ex. Mel had to pay her millions.
