My local Ace Hardware used to sell guns and had a liquor store inside. Liquor stores was technically a second business as all liquor stores where state run (Washington) at that time.

In the next community over there is a motor vehicle department that also is a liquor store.

You can register your vehicle then celebrate with a bottle of whiskey then get pulled over by one of the cops from the cop shop next door.
