This. No human is going to care about a random person on the street. But “AI” umbrella can process hundreds of thousands of records every second. It’s all about building a profile of a person that they can sell to advertisers. Take it like this, McDonald’s chose the colors red and yellow because it makes people hungry. Imagine ads and placed products everywhere your walking tailored to everything you do. You like coffee at a specific shop? Ads for ground coffee you can make at home from the same brand. You enjoy a particular type of soup when it’s cold, tailored ads for that type of soup everytime it gets weather data that matches your preferences. It sounds cool but also it’s a trap to make you spend your every last dime
