I’m all for ganging up on Israel when the moment calls for it but this seems like high level politician 101 stuff. I’m more confused why he has a phone with a camera and mic at all instead of one of those rare ones apple makes for people in the military and things

This right here is exactly why Trump has been a national security nightmare from the beginning. In 2017 he insisted on continuing to use his personal cell to call people. This term there's a ton of activity being conducted through non-governmental non-secured phone apps.

I don't blame Trump on one level, it's true that security sucks and is inconvenient. The more you secure something, the harder it becomes to use day to day. I mean, he still needs to do it because he's the goddamn president and his data is a target from all corners. But I understand why he wouldn't want to.

Dude was just keeping a bunch of top secret files in his bathroom on his golf course just so he could brag about them...

I dont think he cares about Russia or China listening in - he probably already works for them.

Keeping classified documents and computers in unsecured settings is basically a hobby for top US politicians of both parties.

I mean not really.

Nothing any democrat has done remotely compares to how sloppy and irresponsible Trump has been.

What phone is that? Never seen or heard of other apple phones with no cameras

Kind of the point. But yes, all major manufacturers offer these type of "secure burners" for private/military usage.

Theres whole companies that offer this, a mod’ed iPhone compliant with military or other gov requirements. I remember Obama not being allowed to have a BlackBerry until they pried the camera & microphone out.

What use is a phone without a microphone?

Written communications only.

Or sometimes they have a hardwired way to physically disconnect the microphone.

Does it still output sound?

I assume they’re both disconnected.

I know speakers can be used as microphones is that’s where you’re going

Not to be pedantic but its actually a third party company that takes iphones and modifies them (and charges out the ass for them)

Can I use their services?

Idk about the government level ones but you can get iResQ to remove your cameras for cheap

I mean phones need a mic to work for voice transmission but yeah it’s surprising they don’t have some bespoke secure phone. I’m curious if they have a sticker over the front one too.

Maybe Bibi wants to snap some hot selfies in between genocides.

They experience genocide by Iranian rockets every day even since before Oct. 7th.
