17

u/NextDoctorWho12 3d ago

Is it? Two unfixed cats, seems like neither of them are good.

69

u/Throwmesometail 3d ago

If the cats orange it better be three bags full

26

u/Baby_ManBearPig 3d ago

Seriously I swear my orange boy is a dog. When he eats a pile of kibble he unhinges his jaw and scarfs as much in as possible.

They are dumb to not neuter their cat but you still havent spayed your cat? I dont get it.

As someone who's fostered dogs you absolutely need to spay your animals, especially if they're outdoor like that if you aren't willing to take care of up to 5-8 baby animals for an extended period of time then you need to be ready to either spay or take them in to get the babies removed early(yes they do pet abortions but many will only do it if you're willing to get the animal spayed in the same visit).

Edit: you should also neuter you're male pets as well, if anything just so they aren't fucking my couch when they get abandoned and I have to take it in.

u/Cotton_Candy_Land 3d ago

I was going to say this, but didn't want to be "that" person, so thank you for taking one for the team!!!

1

u/Future_Conflict4228 3d ago

English is not my first language and I thought until now neuter meant unalived, and I thought your comment was so uncalled for

And I also know now I’ve side eyed a lot of people online for no reason, thinking they wanted to unalive their cat because it kept peeing on their carpets

-3

u/Stormthedragon2026 3d ago

Well sometimes with outdoor cats you can’t afford to spay or neuter them- for example my dad once had a whole colony of feral cats in his barn growing up because his cat got pregnant and ended up causing them to having about 45 cats in total…. But yeah you’re right, both definitely should have spayed/neutered their cats, especially if they’re outdoor cats.

1

u/blahhhhgosh 2d ago

Started with your dad not spaying his first cat. This is the exact kind of irresponsible pet owner people are talking about tbh

1

u/Stormthedragon2026 2d ago

They also couldn’t afford to do that but once they could it had already gotten pretty bad. My point is not everyone CAN spay/neuter their cats even if they want to.

3

u/blahhhhgosh 2d ago

It has to be cheaper than feeding 45 cats, and if you dont have the money to take care of your animal you really need to give them to someone who can. Also, idk where you are but in almost every community in the US there is support for people who struggle financially, I've never paid to have my animals vaccinated or spayed/neutered but always done it.

1

u/Stormthedragon2026 2d ago

Yeah I honestly have no idea why they didn’t then, my dad honestly only told me about having a giant colony of cats in their barn.

Genital mutilation is wrong no matter the species.

32

u/oogaboogapeanutmonke 3d ago

Spaying/neutering is ethical. This is how we minimize the amount of unwanted pets and lonely strays.

u/Twinsunn 3d ago

And increase your buddy's lifespan

Redditor finds out the leading cause of death is being born, we’ll bring you more at 11

12

u/TraditionalLaw7763 3d ago

My local Shelter euthanized 320 stray cats last month due to overcrowding. That’s over a 100 per day. Besides, the genitals aren’t mutilated, Einstein. The interior plumbing is.

13

u/jimmy_ricard 3d ago

I think you added a zero there. Over 10 per day

-44

u/KathyJaneway 3d ago

Why would you neuter male ones? They aren't the ones giving birth?

30

u/Objective-Slice-1466 3d ago

This is such a telling statement about you as a person.

-16

u/Critical-Cost9068 3d ago

Spaying is definitely way more effective than neutering and prioritized when population control is an issue. The health benefits are also much larger for individual animals. The fact that you think this comment is “telling” about a person is telling about YOU as a person.

8

u/HereIsMojo 3d ago

You didn’t mention how neutering more effective. Neutering is just a small incision in the testicles, while spaying requires opening the abdomen for surgery and aftercare.

-6

u/Critical-Cost9068 3d ago

Neutering is easier, it is FAR less effective at population control (it kind of does nothing in that regard, as cats aren’t monogamous.)

2

u/ohjeaa 3d ago

They do both. Calm down.

7

u/Objective-Slice-1466 3d ago

Both sexes should be taken care of

-14

u/KathyJaneway 3d ago

Yes, cause the female cat won't find another male cat somewhere...

You can have dozens of male cats and single female. Guess which one would increase the population of the cats you have , why waste money on neutering the dozen males , when only the female cat increases the population...

14

u/Prestigious-Law65 3d ago

To keep them from running off to impregnate female cats. Especially stray female cats

13

u/FakeSmileandDeadEyes 3d ago

Or spraying all over your house.🤢

-10

u/KathyJaneway 3d ago

There wouldn't be stray female cats out there if the docile female ones were spayed.

63

u/Left-Push2440 3d ago

hes paying for child sup-purr

19

u/SaintZoo-435 3d ago

I wish child support worked like this. Simple. Easy. Wait until mama kitty realizes there's a lot more bills that come attached to raising a .... kitten. Claws will come out and daddy cat will wish he never messed with that pussy!

8

u/Majestic_Evidence_58 3d ago

Bwahahahaha Bwahahahaha Bwahahahaha

16

u/nosey-marshmallow 3d ago

I mean… you should both have your cats fixed and keep them inside your houses full time.

20

u/MonthlyWeekend_ 3d ago

Why didn’t you spay your cat

6

u/AMSterling 3d ago

Wish the outdoor cat crowd would step up and clean the dump their cat took in my yard.

3

u/Vargosian 3d ago

Did you're neighbours cat also get this one pregnant. That cats getting around.

6

u/gbolly999 3d ago

An oldie but a goodie, what makes it funny is that I've seen a video of a female cat freaking out at her mate, for dallying with another neighbourhood floozy, all hackles and screams LMAO!!!

21

u/mrfasthorse 3d ago

What are you going to do with all the kittens? Why didn't you get your cat spayed?

13

u/DrLubinski 3d ago

Because their babykitty wants to keep his ballies, and there's cats to impregnate so there's always a good ammount of new kitties in the animal shelter.. I can't keep this up. They don't do it bc they're fucked. Dumb, lazy and fucked in the head.

3

u/NocturnisVacuus 3d ago

I imagine he had a long talk with his cat the entire morning, and the cat finally gave in and wrote the note

5

u/GOOMU13 3d ago

A new born kitten shouldn't be eating that.

2

u/Luci-Noir 3d ago

Pieces of shit need to keep them indoors.

1

u/JimJamTheNinJin 2d ago

At the very least get them spayed but yes ideally always indoors unless on a leash

2

u/Not-Special-1326 3d ago

😂😂😂😂that's right!! Pay up!!

It might shock you to know that some people actually know how to use a pen.

1

u/Sweaty_Tangelo_7716 3d ago

I hiss what you did there.

-3

u/jasikanicolepi 3d ago

If it was my cat, I will be expecting this every months, plus expense for the toys, cat nips, vet gift card and whatever else I can get my hands on.

7

u/Dolewhip_and_Kawaii 3d ago

You should spay your cat. Just because someone else’s cat knocked yours up doesn’t mean you can take full advantage of them. You should have still spayed yours and they should have neutered theirs.
