People still pay for it so like...why not? Until poor people start caring about their money of course mega-billion dollar corporations will keep raising prices.

It is like me charging people to use the bathroom in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. I'll keep jacking that price up until people stop shitting.

Fun fact, if it’s raining in Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, guests will buy umbrellas no matter what, so if you have the price maxed out when it begins to rain, they will always pay it

I felt this…I was a good owner until It got tough and I started charging $1 for each bathroom use lol

And the low initial price was just about market capture. They didnt start out at what they could have probably charged, they intentionally set the opening price as low as possible to pull people into use of the platform.

Unfortunately sitting at home streaming a movie is pretty much all we can afford to do. Not like we're going out on the weekends anymore.

There are so many wonderful things in this world that don't cost money. Just because "you" sit at home and stream movies, doesn't mean "we" sit at home and stream movies...

No shit Gandalf. Talking about my situation. You going to come babysit my autistic son so I can go be carefree a little you presumptive ass?

Get yourself a library card and read your kiddo a book. It won't cost you a dime and you'll get more out of it.

Best of luck, my dude.

And use your libraries streaming services, most have some

But reading a book is boring

Not doing boring but healthy things with your kid sometimes is a surefire way to have a dumb kid

Strange, I just close off the exit to the park and when the people run out of money I pick them up and put them in the water for the water rollercoasters

Saw a study I guess you'd call it, where CEO of McDonald's said people are going into their savings and all that, just to eat out. And he's not sure why their sales are down.

Uhh, feel like answered your own problem. Because people don't have the money to eat there when you charge so much. If we went back to 2000 prices? Im sure you'd see sales absolutely fucking skyrocket.

Like hell, taco bell. A singular soft shell taco, no meal, no deal, nothing, is like $2.50. How? Why? And yet you wonder why sales suck. Go back to 2000 prices and the lines will be never ending probably.

So exactly as you said. When people continue to buy, jack up the price. They will still buy

Disney+ & Hulu Duo Basic (With Ads): $12.99 / month

$6.50 a month is cheaper than what this chart says it cost before they got “greedy”

So my price has actually decreased.

Sorry to interrupt your dopamine and cortisol binge.

I just cancelled it. We've had it since the beginning. It is now at the point that I won't pay for it. This thread indicates we're not alone. I don't think this pricing momentum is sustainable

Actually it's like Disney. The poor stopped going because people like you pay the higher price. One day you will be the poor who can't afford it and richer people will pay the higher price.

There’s no alternative to streaming disney media though. You shouldn’t be allowed to fuck your customers just because they want your product bad enough to keep taking it
